Winston Churchill: 'Jews 'partly responsible' for troubles'

LONDON -- Britain's Second World War prime minister Winston Churchill argued that Jews were "partly responsible for the antagonism from which they suffer" in an article publicized for the first time Sunday.

Churchill made the claim in an article entitled "How The Jews Can Combat Persecution" written in 1937, three years before he started leading the country.

He outlined a new wave of anti-Semitism sweeping across Europe and the United States, which was followed by the deaths of millions of Jews in the Holocaust under the German Nazi regime.

This is one of the issues about Jews that is very hard to understand. Past records like this one clearly show that thing like Mel Gibson did (blaming the Jews for troubles) when he got caught due to drunk driving is not an isolated one. The big question is why?

Winston Churchill basically said that the 'problem' with the Jew is that he is different from the non-Jew and refuses to absorb (my guess is assimilate).

Moreover saying that Jews were "sober, industrious, law-abiding" suggests to be that the problem it actually with the 'non-Jew' who needs to understand that not everyone needs to act like him or think like him.

Lesson learned - So long as they are law-abiding and industrious accept their difference. I think it is diversity that can make a nation great in the long run. This is applicable to Buhdists, Muslims, Zonastrians, Jews Christians, Hindus - everyone.
