Was 9/11 an insurance claim money laundering operation? Larry Silverstein received $5.5 billion for the WTC insurance claims, for buildings appraised at $3 billion. The insurance companies had good reasons to deny the claims. There is no requirement for insurance companies pay claims with their money, creating a money laundering vector. *Snip*
