I have my SETI thing running almost 24 hours a day! I'm glad to be helping the search. We need to recruit more members...

Active Members

I have been active in this site for about 10 minutes. I have been running SETI for years now. I have run 160 units and 9800+ hours.

I just found this site - it was mentioned on HowWhatWHy.com

Is there any way to put a "stats" page on ATS? It would be interesting to see how many units get completed day to day and how many have been completed total. I just think it would be cool to be able to see that without having to wade through the SETI@home site...

I'm active. Just transfered my membership to ATS. Have processed 927 WUs. Now on new computer I pump out 2 WU every 2 hours running the command line version. Have a quad 550 Xeon with 2 gig ram sitting here turned off. Will be moving it to a quiter location (besides living room, wife hates it.) it pumps out 10WUs every 4 hours. Had it running for six months straight dedicated to SETI@Home

here is my current setup www.nwscc.com...

***Thanx to everybody in ATS SETI team!!!***

Hi folks!!

Sorry to have missed all the "recent arrivals" but have been away for the past two days or so doing post-Christams/ early New Year visiting with Sue's family!!

Thanx to *everybody* who's joined, we now have 201 members, processed 53 813 WU's in 68.614 years!! That's quite an advance on the situation I reported at 46 000 WU's on the 12/12/03!!

All I can say is "Please keep it up!!" people: we *might* not find ET but our efforts will certainly *eliminate* - for the present - areas in space that *don't* have ET radio transmissions and help refine the search techniques used by those at SETI@home. And, when SETI Southern Hemisphere Search is on-line, with the chance to explore the Centre of *our* Milky Way galaxy and Megellanic Clouds then I'm sure the potential for discovering ET will be much enhanced!!

So, thanx again all for donating your computer time: both of mine would be extremely bored if they had nothing to do whilst I'm sleeping or partying!!

A Peaceful - and SETI-enriched - New Year to you all!!
