30 Vermont Towns Seek to Impeach Bush

People in Vermont are looking to impeach Bush and bring the troops home. I think things are just getting started on this one. This is a formal process that is underway by the people of Vermont.

You know, I was just saying, not half an hour ago in this post how we need to impeach Bush for his handling of Iraq. The military health-care issues (like the one at Walter Reeed) were the final straw for me. If anyone has information on how we can spread this movement to other states besides Vermont, I'm all ears.

If nothing else, he has proven too incompetent to be allowed as Commander in Chief of our Armed Forces. Were this another time and place in history, he'd have done "the honorable thing" and resigned by now, out of sheer shame and self-loathing. Since Bush appears to lack both honor, shame, or the ability to recognize any flaw about his policy, this obviously needs to be done for him.

So when have a couple of Vermont left-wing wacko town councils gotten any authority to start a "formal process" to impeach the President of the United States?

These people need to go back to civics class or at least try to read the Constitution

Its a complete waste of time. Didnt San Fran or San Diego try this a year or so ago?

All of this grandstanding and politics for show is going to devolve Washington into a high school theatre. Sooner or later everything will non-binding resolutions. The ultimate in PC politics. Why bother having to flip/flop in the future when your position is always "non-binding" or "symbolic."

If they really want to stir it up why not vote on secession? Its still legal to do and Im sure it would get more attention. But then their socialist governor wouldnt be able to beg the fed for the money of the rest of the nations taxpayers.

Its quite amazing that VT and NH can be right next to each other and yet be radically different.

I am going to agree with you comments, but you have to remember the government should fear the people, not the other way around.

My purpose for posting this was not to bash Bush, nor take the side of the little guy, but to show that no matter what happens the majority of the people in the USA should be represented.

I can tell you I have been a life long Republican, but I do not approve of the Iraq war before and now. It was a stupid move all the way around, even high ranking generals were completely against going in to Iraq the way we did.

I thought Clinton was selfish and I think Bush is also.

I'd like to know how many of these people are native residents of Vermont or if they are, as Bill Oreilly affectionately calls them, Secular Progressives that have been moving in and squeezing out all the rational and sane Vermont citizens.

If the definition of insanity is repeating the same action expecting a different result...
