If there is any real proof of these meetings, or their intentions, that would be wonderful, but it seems very much like every other NWO
conspiracy: contrived in the imagination.
I would happily retract my statements if any degree of proof can be given to these meetings being held. Researchable and credible proof (not just some
NWO specific book).

I personally don't know too much about these meetings, but having been in some "confidential" meetings with what would be considered very powerful
people, I think they are more likely to focus on what those people really think needs to be done to help the world than a nefarious NWO plan. Of
course, some of the attendees may be wrong, misguided, influenced by others, or just plain insecure power brokers with ego problems, but I suspect the
Bilderberg meetings are not the meetings to be most concerned about. I wouldn't say the same thing about old, established societies with secret,
anti-social ritualistic initiation ceremonies.
Speculate for a moment with me... you grow up wealthy and inherit power over the future of many people, or you reach a point in your work or business
where you end up in a position of power and with absolutely zero personal financial issues. In any case, you are human, and no matter how noble your
intentions, you are learning how to do better in your efforts. Your problems are, in some ways different than that of the average person, and based on
Mazlo's pyramid of needs, your focus is on a set of issues that is different than most people. People in those positions, just as people in almost
any position in life will have varying degrees of maturity and security/insecurity in themselves. At the same time, I believe they are people, and
just like us, many will at least try to have noble goals.
The Bilderberg meetings were started by a number of people who were in positions of power and influence who felt, probably some for very different
reasons, that it would make sense to get together as a global peer group and work towards improving things (I'm confident that's what they all say
regardless of how any of the individuals may feel). Without any such peer group, I am sure that people separated in their responsibilities from the
rest of society would fill that vacuum with something.
IMO, the whole Bilderberg conspiracy theory is not that likely, and the creation of such a group is more probably a natural outcome that would occur
whether the people involved had completely nefarious or completely divine intentions. Some level of confidentiality would likely be required for
people at that level to even be willing to involve themselves in such an event, but many of them would be interested in creating such a group. Since
it is likely they didn't start off by knowing each other, it is unlikely that they will lay out an evil, secret agenda in such a global group.
As I said, I think it is more likely that old, established groups with anti or asocial initiation rites would engage in anti-societal behaviors than
relatively recent groups formed by people across the world with a common interest of leadership. Of course, not being part of the group, I could be
completely wrong, and this is all just my opinion. Unless we can someday be a fly on the wall, I don't think we'll get much more than our opinions
about it.
