Hello all,
I'd like to ask this little question and i'll be honest,
I first pondered over this when i was high on '___' as a teenager 20 years
ago!.
Am I right in thinking that adam & eve were kicked out of the
Garden of eden for eating the fruit from the "The tree of Knowledge"?

If so the question is-
how could they know 2000 years ago when the Bible was written,
That Man would One day, develop weapons that could destroy the Planet and everyone on it??

Coincidence???

It was the tree of 'the knowledge of good AND evil', not just knowledge. Before they ate of it they were in innocence, but afterwards 'their eyes became open, and they realised they were naked'.

see: www.cresourcei.org...

Also the Bible was written more than 2000 years ago. Some scholars say the Old Testament was written over the period extending 1500 years before Christ up until 400 years before he was born, but there is some debate on it.

So, God wanted us Happy and Ignorant.
Play in the garden and don't think too hard.

Compared to our lives today, and the level of anxiety in the world..I would gladly trade what I know for blissfull ignorance...

I agree. A lot of people have argued with me that being in blissful ignorance is some weird concept that is sure to lead to a hard life. I don't understand their philosophy as I had the best times of my life when I was under the age of 5 and knew absolutely nothing. It is knowledge that causes us to worry and try to discern things so that we can be happy in our lives. Unfortunately, it seems to just compound itself until the day we die.

I too would like to be happy and ignorant.
