I was wondering why ATS has accepted a banner from a site that prints PURE LIES?

Here is a banner ad for the site

Here are a list of a few outright lies being vomited on the site.

LIES

There is widespread evidence and documentation that elements of the US government were involved in the planning and execution of the 9/11 attacks. From Here

Oh really? Where is the WIDESPREAD EVIDENCE AND DOCUMENTATION? Guess work and assumptions at best!

INSULTS

Whether or not one believes that this is conceivable or possible does not matter until he or she has personally reviewed the evidence. From Here

Oh really? It doesn't matter what I think until I think like 'them'? hmmmmm

LIES

Initiated as a response to the 9/11 attack, and facilitated by the passage of the USA Patriot Act, the “Global War on Terror” is the first war we have fought with no defined enemy or measure of success. This new kind of war recognizes no national boundary lines, international laws, or treaties as superceding its mandate to discover and neutralize the enemy before they act. The war is very much like an assertion of global police authority. From Here

Oh really? No success? When was the last time there was an attack on US soil?.....shameful lies my friends! Global police? More like Global watchdogs for scumbag terrorists. And doing a damn fine job of it as well

This website is the creation of a small group of individuals based in New York City. We do not claim to be the “official Truth Movement site” or to speak authoritatively for anyone else. The site is our vision for what a Truth Movement could look like.

Why on earth should a site try and mirror their site that is piled up with lies and half truths. It is really beyond me.

I have said enough. I just wanted to vent a bit about a lie filled, bias site with a link on ATS.

M.Agenda!

Dude,

I think you kind of missed the forum;

As far as I know this is ABOVE-TopSecret, which means, that certain people are actually free to think what they want regarding the events on 9/11; and as far as I am concerned, 9/11 Truth movement "theories" about the attacks on 9/11 are far more real then anything that US government sold you.

Just because it's biased doesn't mean it's lies.
I believe a lot of what they say, in fact. Many people do. They're not actually lies.

There's also a RANT forum.

You are in denial man. Quit listening to Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh. In case you haven't figured it out yet. THE GOVERNMENT LIES AND CONSPIRES AGAINST ITS CITIZENS.

I don't think the Administrators hand select each advertisement for one, so there is no real need to point fingers at them. At the same time, I feel that we as a member are more than a guinea pig so we are freely available to think for ourselves. Bias' aside, it is not necessarily complete lies. The individual can make what they want of it.

Ad Subtraction

ATS is supported by advertising revenue. Ads (ideally) cover the expenses of running the website, including hosting and bandwidth costs, which are considerable.

As spelled out in the AboveTopSecret.com Terms And Conditions Of Use:

6b) Neutrality: AboveTopSecret.com LLP provides a forum for discussing a wide variety of subjects, but does not endorse any particular theory, opinion, viewpoint or position on any topic. Furthermore, though operating costs are supported by advertising and promotional revenue, AboveTopSecret.com LLP does not officially endorse or promote any commercial product or service.

So in addition to not endorsing any particular theory regarding 9/11 simply because some 9/11 websites advertise here, ATS does not endorse certain brands of debt consolidation loans, home mortgage refinancing, healing crystals, Viagra, bodybuilding products, books on witchcraft, free laptops or anything else advertised on the site.

Members are free to hold whatever opinions they want about 9/11 or online promotions and should not confuse advertisements found on ATS with official opinions on any subject.

I hope that clears things up.

Remember that 1/4 of all americans are retarded. Why? because 1/4 of all americans think the US government blew them buildings up.

Dont get me wrong, I have no love for certain aspects of the government, but I certainly dont think they caused 9/11 unless you mean because of negligence during clinton's presidency. Funny how the real one responsible will never receive an iota of blame simply because he was out of office by the time of 9/11.

Don't you mean 1/4 of all Americans believed that Saddam was Osama's right hand man and had a hand in 9/11?

Or would that be 1/2?

Neutral Territory

Since this is BB&Q and not the 9/11 Forum, let's please reserve debate over 9/11 for that forum.

If anyone has any questions or concerns about the neutrality of AboveTopSecret.com, LLP, however, they are quite welcome in this thread.

If you don't like the ad, then don't click on it. Pretty simple. And maybe ATS (and other sites where I never click any banners) will finally get the point that flashing "youve won a laptop" ads and talking "youve won an ipod" ads will not be tolerated by people who visit their sites.

Its an advertisement. ATS didn't accept anything. Advertisements are sent in through the Google Ad system. I mean, do you really think that we endorse jewish dating services, or that we endorse Burger King for having Flame Broiled Whoppers? Heck, YOU put the advertisement into one of your posts. I suppose that you, despite your protestrations, must support the group.

Well, I'm going to assume that you really do know the definition of the word "lie" and you just accidentally mistyped or maybe your keyboard malfunctioned. However, for those that don't know, I'll post it here.

lie - A lie is a statement made by someone who believes or suspects it to be false, in the expectation that the hearers may believe it. Thus a true statement may be a lie if the speaker thinks it is false. Fictions, though false, are not lies. Depending on definitions, a lie can be a genuine falsehood or a selective truth, a lie by omission, or even the truth if the intention is to deceive or to cause an action not in the listener's interests.

In short, if you believe what you are saying is true, even if it isn't, you still aren't lying. People seeking real investigations into 911 are very genuine, even those that don't know what they're talking about, and therefore, they're not lying.

Boy, it's a good thing we all know you're too smart to have made that mistake.

Concerning an attack on US soil. Can you provide evidence that we have circumvented an attack by killing brown people? I'm sure we'd all love to think that this is the case, and I'm sure we all sleep better at night believing this, but honestly, there is no evidence that this is the case.

And honestly, you claim that there is no evidence supporting the 911 truth movement? Well, I shant be presenting any to you here. There are many ATS threads that deal with this, and most of it is pretty solid (and some are straw men, or just misinformed). Truth be told, there is enough evidence to get an indictment from a grand jury, but there isn't a federal prosecutor with big enough balls to formally investigate or charge Cheny. And even if there were, that would open a can of worms that I don't think the country can deal with right now.
