Will artificial intelligence someday become a part of everyday life?

Introducing the NS-5, I dont know too much about this, because the site doesnt give too much detail, take a look for yourself and let me know what you think. If anyone finds more info on this, post it in here.

Hi Stormz!!

Looks like a spoof to me....

It supposedly features a "Positronic brain", which Isaac Asimov users.otenet.gr... wrote about - in a book called "I robot".

Mind you, as for AI - well, that's a whole can of worms!!

Can you say, "rise of the machines". I have a hard time taking all of that in. If true however I believe that it is a very scary thought.

If that's a fake (which it probably is) someone sure put huge amounts of work to make it look credible.

EDIT: No wonder the renders and all that looked good:

We discussed this in another thread. I saw the trailer in the movies and recognized it for what it was the minute the tagline "3 laws safe" came up.

It'll be a film of an Asimov book; I believe it should be I, ROBOT.

The "3 laws" refer to Issac Asimov's 3 laws of robotics. Our robots/computers aren't developed enough that the 3 laws would ever be an issue at this point... or in the near forseeable future.

Here's the 3 laws:

First Law:
A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

Second Law:
A robot must obey orders given it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

Third Law:
A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

If memory serves, the book deals with a robot who is tricked into violating the laws and then shuts down. Interesting morality play.

I've added this to the "known hoaxes" links in the library. It's not a hoax, strictly speaking, but folks are being fooled by it.
