Maj. Gen. George Weightman's firing was the first major military staff change after reports surfaced last month about substandard conditions in a building that is part of the facility.

Army Secretary Francis Harvey, who removed Weightman from his post according to an Army statement, had blamed a failure of leadership for the conditions, which were first reported by The Washington Post.

Weightman also served as commanding general of the North Atlantic Regional Medical Command.

Ok.

This is one of the first instances I have seen or can recall from this administration of the person in charge of a screwed up situation getting fired.

Other than Brownie, of course. But he was first praised by the CIC for doing a great job.

Now, if we could just get this practice of holding those responsible, you know, like, responsible, we might start to make some headway getting this country out of the mess it is in.
