Someone stole our website!!!!

Someone let us know through the complaint system here (thanks anon person ) that someone has sitecopied our website and message board and were setting it up as their own!!!!!

It sucks!!!!

I could only count 32 posts in total at that whole site. No threat or distraction value.

Copies like this happen to websites all the time. It's more of a moral issue than a legal one so far.

You have to admit the guy is an idiot, his name and contact details are everywhere....

I expect when William leans on him he will suddenly go offline soon.....

Well NC, you have no legal proof that its a carbon copy just because he has set it out the same as ATS.

As i recall on the old ATS site i had people talking to me about ATS stealing their content on a regular basis. I do remember a small UFO analysis site that was particularly unhappy about it. I don't know if it was true or not but the contents of an ATS page and the guys site were carbon copies of each other.

Talk to him and ask what he's doing before you go posting his info around.

No actually, it was a small geocities site and when i talked to the guy he seemed ultrapissed at you guys.

yes I see now after reading a few posts. I thought that would be just a bit too cheeky of someone that had started that site.

There must be something in the info sections that you can get this guy for with copyright infringement... He took the entire thing from ATS, the only words changed are in the title.

Oh, that's nice.
Their little subsections seem to be carbon copies of ATS main page content. I haven't read every word there, but it seems word-for-word or damn close to it.
Wonder if he's anyone we know.

Much of the "main site content" is a complete copy of Simon's intellectual property, or, the material for which he has license. I sent him an e-mail asking for an explanation. In the past Simon hs allowed this type of thing when one article has been found copied on other sites, as long as they give him credit and link back to ATS. But this is the first time entire sections, including structure and even the board ToS has been copied. -sheesh-

I say we all trash his forum with pro-ATS propaganda. Make him PO'ed, until he can't handle it anymore.

The forum are setted up with the same names, and in the same order.

That's a blatant copie, and it's disgusting to rip the work of peoples like that. I hope serious action is taken.

As for my self... I already started registering [email protected] and [email protected] to a lot of p0rn mail list & other mail lists to be sure the #ers receives lots of spam, if he doesn't already.

And I'm doing a bit of research about their server right now...
