Australian state bans YouTube in schools to stop bullying

Source Link: newsinfo.inquirer.net

SYDNEY -- An Australian state has banned the popular Internet film-sharing website YouTube from school computers in a bid to clamp down on cyber-bullying.

The move follows public outrage after a group of schoolboys filmed themselves sexually abusing and degrading a teenage girl and uploaded the video onto YouTube.

Well, I'm surprised YouTube was'nt inaccessible from school computers
in the first place.

YouTube is not accessible in most American schools that I know of.

I think there reason for doing this is idiotic though.

If these individuals sexually abused this girl, than they should be charged
by the police.

Banning a website it was posted on, which is so massive that it is almost
impossible to watch every single thing, is the stupidest thing I've heard
in awhile.
