'The Lost Tomb of Christ' - almost 60 years miss

Topic started on 28-2-2007 @ 03:20 AM by Vitalij

James Cameron is mistaken: the bone box that said to hold the bones of Mary Magdalene was in fact buried almost 60 years before Jesus Christ was born. It's a fact. The rest of the hype obviously states wrong conclusions as well. Jesus Christ has nothing to do with ten ancient ossuaries from 'The Lost Tomb of Christ' documentary . Sorry - no breakthrough there. Just a pathetic attempt by Oscar-winning movie director...

I tend to agree with you generally. although there is no certainty about the exact date of the birth of Jesus.

The names on the tomb were very common at the time as well.

I am trying to get Mr Cameron on my show to talk about this!

The date of Christ's birth varies between 6 bc to 4 ad, depending on what source you read. If the relic was dated sixty years before his birth then that is pushing it a bit!

Sounds good.

Regarding the date, perhaps some spectroscopists can backdate the age of the caskets (even though I doubt their uncertainty of measurements is adequate). I can add that this bone box was not made by Jerusalem masters, but in the area far Soutn-West from there. The remains are of very rich people at a time (alleged Mary Magdalene and another man) who didn't die a natural death. They were killed, - because of some offence they commited.

... Jesus's father. Anyway, the statement "almost 60 years before Jesus Christ was born" is about relative time, and it is absolutely correct for the subject at hand.

?????

I was talking about academic sources. The way the calendar's been messed with in the past 2000 years nobody seems certain of the exact year. Or the exact date come to that, only that it wasn't 25th December!

BTW, I'm a Christian and I believe Jesus exists.

What's wrong with Jesus's father?

Do you believe academic/massmedia sources that a man was on the Moon? I don't, I know that never happened.

Really, I wanted to check James Cameron's statements for myself, and they turned out not to be true. Now sharing the info, FYI kind of e-message.

I put the ????? because I didn't understand the post. "....Jesus' father" could mean anything. Could you explain what you meant by it?

I wouldn't worry about Vitalij he's the village idiot.
He went on and on about the moon landings last year and is obviously mad. He has been quite quiet for a bit, I guess they let him out now.

Go to his website www.godswhip.info... and read it, I have thought of doing a spoof site for some time and thought he had beat me to it. But no he believes what hes saying.

Amongst other things the guy thinks that piping warm salt solution up your ass is step closer to god. Maybe I am just biased because my ass is one way traffic, I dunno.

He goes on about the cosmic server. All I can say is that his server must be running on a Microsoft Windows Platform and needs rebooting

Control+Alt+Delete...the 3 finger salute.

Care in the community has got a lot to answer for. Keep 'em off the streets I say.

The error of modern calendar is not very significant: during the events described in the New Testament when Jesus Christ was said to be 33, he was in fact 35-36. Cheers, - Vitalij
