I don't think so Val, normally its a coded warning sent out to the peoples pagers and cell phones

I read a little further down and there is a place in there that says that it is suppose to take place today.... My bad... Didn't read enough... But I think the bush admin will move them a couple days prior to the attack... That way it don't look like bush moved them just in time... Kind of gives him a cushion that says "well we knew it might happen in a couple days and we warned everyone" Not " we knew it was going to happen at 5:30 pm on the east coast"

Righty, just caught something on yahoo a few mins ago, it seems that california declared a disaster right after the quake, so FEMA teams are probably pre-positioned... just like before 9/11.

Could someone check the HAARP readings over the past few days and compare em to pre-9/11 ones.

This is certainly worth tracking, to find out what happened. I don't think there is any REAL drill going on that would involve actual physical movement of defence officials for any anticipated attack - just some attention-getting posturing. But I would like to know if there was a drill after all...

Who says that it would be an attack. bringing out false information to raise the alert level to orange is an act of terror it self because it cost a lot of money if they are in a higher alert level. This would be an economic terror attack.

I've always thought this one would be a biological attack, a biological attack on christmas day would be viewed as an attack on christianity itself, instead of sitting watching stupid xmas specials we'd be watching rolling news coverage of the sick, dead and walking wounded, its an enormous blow to our western psyche, we'd be positively screaming for revenge.

Perhaps this is a bribery situation, or perhaps the weapons have already been used.

So many variables, all we can do is keep our eyes and ears open. Good find!

This morning on my way to work i counted 5 cop cars within an 8 mile drive at various locations and I during a normal week I might only see 3 tops, but also today I spotted many fighter jets doing maneuvers all day over the city.

Everyones reporting the same dude, there is a very pronounced presence in major cities all over the USA, and the world in many cases, somethings not right this time.

Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden and his chief deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri, approved the terror plans that led U.S. officials to raise the threat level and heighten security through the holidays, intelligence officials told NBC News.

According to the report, U.S. intelligence has gathered details about the attack plans, which they say include al-Qaida operatives hijacking foreign airliners and flying them into targets in the U.S. The information even includes some specific flight numbers.

The Pentagon says it is stepping up air patrols across the nation. In addition, NBC reports, federal air marshals, who usually fly only on domestic flights, are now boarding international airlines with flights into certain domestic airports, including Newark International Airport in New Jersey.

The intelligence indicates Tappahannock, Va., a tiny town of 2,016 people, is one of al-Qaida's potential targets. Such an attack would be intended to create widespread fear that no one was safe, even in small towns, NBC reports the officials as saying.

"Just remember that al-Qaida is not just looking to kill as many Americans as possible. They're looking to seriously hurt our nation's economy," terrorism specialist Roger Cressey, former chief of staff of the President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board, told the network.

In addition to big cities, al-Qaida reportedly has targeted Las Vegas, the officials told NBC, because of its economic value as the nation's No. 2 vacation destination and as home to large conventions and trade shows beginning next month.

Other possible targets include important infrastructure facilities, such as nuclear power plants and dams.

The officials also said it is feared al-Qaida may use a radiological weapon, or so-called "dirty bomb," to attack a large number of people and spread radiation over a specific area.

"The point of a dirty bomb is not mass casualties," Cressey told the network. "It's much more to instill fear and panic into the general population."

Since the terror-threat level was moved to "high," or orange on Sunday, government agencies have increased security at airports, border crossings and ports, said Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge, who urged Americans yesterday not to disrupt their holiday travel plans.

As WorldNetDaily reported, intelligence reports indicate bin Laden and al-Zawahiri are in Iran, near the borders of Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Saw that on NBC Nightly news this evening, i believe they put it down to driving fear into small town america, kinda like hezbollah did by bombing israeli villages.

It would mean nobody is safe.
