Very socialist don't take or exhibit any individual action just sit back relax and let the gov't take care of you. We know how well that worked. If the policies had different, and our gov't and their main stream media sycophants had done their job before the incident the outcome would have been different. The worst we could have lost is 4 airplanes and not 4 airplanes and 2 buildings. Maybe only 1 airplane.

Paraphrasing Margaret Thatcher - Socialism works until they run out of other peoples money.

Socialism as a form of gov't is a crime against humanity - people who promote or practice it as a for of gov't should be tried for "crimes against humanity."

Dude,

I like the way you think. I also like Maggie Thatcher for having a hard bark. Never knew she said that about socialism. My hats off to her.

I have been thinking for some time now that someone out here wants to turn us into something very like Britian. No thanks. Not interested.

In the end it is indeed a crime against Humanity. Britian is right now reeling under many of the decisions of socialist governments. Many of the British problems are carefully kept out of our news and information outlets through the MSM. Amazing to me how big a paper curtain can be held over a "free " people.

I am glad to see alot of the states turning against the Federal Government policies and moneys with strings attached. About time the states pulled their heads out of their backsides and realized how much of a drug habit such moneys and policies can be.

I think it wont be long before gun rights are under full onslaught. Much worse than they currently are. I will be slow and subtle at first..but eventually to full blown onslaught.

Thanks,
Orangetom

I purchased one of these a short while ago.
I do have a couple of thoughts.
I am not at all disappointed.
It is exactly what I expected.
I noticed that the bolt carrier where it attaches to the gas piston had a shoulder, and tended to hang up when you closed the bolt slowly, although worked fine in the field.
I took a fine file and made the attachment shoulder smooth, polished it with very fine Waterproof sandpaper, then also sanded the sharp stamped edge off the gas piston chamber, re-blued everything.
Now the action is silky smooth!
My thought is this may be the problem that some people are having with hang ups.
Now it is what it should have been. Silky and smooth.
I also applied a very Thin layer of Never Seize to the bolt carrier, moving parts etc. Works much better than gun oil without attracting dirt.
I did not like the look of the blonde wood, so I painted it black after re-sanding and smoothing it.
Later I might get a synthetic one, when I find a look I like. I do not like all the rails and details etc. on most of them.
The stock was too short for me, so I made a stock extension that added another 3 inches of pull and added a butt recoil pad. I looked at different stocks, but they are all pretty much the same size as standard, No good for me.
I would have preferred a longer barrel, 2" would probably make a difference in accuracy, but cost prohibits those kind of changes. As a whole, it is what it is, and I am satisfied.
Under Eastern European Production, there is no time for this kind of detail. It reminds me of those old Bicycle Instructions: "Some Assembly Required."

Very nice rifle. I was wondering what quad rail you have? I was looking at getting the Midwest Industries universal quad rail as I have seen it has a very good heat shield.

MANIACS!

Uhoh, someone left the door open and let the Brits in again.......

Our "rampant killing" doesn't seem to stop countless plane loads of them arriving every day, unfortunately. One of life's many annoyances.

As for your AK choice, they all work, but if you have the $ I would strongly recommend an Arsenal, they really are worth the extra.

*SIGH* Yea, it those Brits again!!!!

Not only are they so spineless that they are completely disarmed , but NOW they are being INVADED by foreigners, who are at this very moment are trying (and SUCCEEDING) in changing the whole Brits way of life and forcing them to SUBMIT to their laws and beliefs!!!!

And with all this going on, WHAT DO THE BRITS WASTE THEIR TIME ON??? They waste it on internet forums posting their ignorant anti-gun 2 cents in on every firearm post whining about how 'wrong' Americans are for using their freedom to defend themselves!!!

Hey Brits, dont you have BETTER things to do with your energy and time??!!! Your freedoms are GONE, and your homeland is being invaded and all you do is stick your nose into American gun discussions to gripe about our FREEDOMS. Freedoms that you all have LOST and now you cant even defend yourselves!!!!!!

How pathetic!!!

Spineless Brits

That is from Ultimak. It is actually 2 parts. The top rail is one piece that fits over the gas tube. The second piece is a 3-rail handguard replacement.

As far as heat goes, I have fired as much as 120 rounds through the rifle back to back and the rails are plenty cool. I am happy with the investment. If you get the parts from them directly, it will cost you around $300. But if you browse around, you can probably find them somewhere else cheaper.
