Iraq Sunni vice president says US needs a 'Plan B'

Source Link: news.yahoo.com

The most prominent Sunni in Iraq's fragmented government said Monday that the United States is going to have to come up with a "Plan B" if the current crackdown fails to stem the violence in the capital.

Tariq al-Hashemi, the Sunni vice president, also warned that the Shiite-led government has no choice but to use force against sectarian militias, even though it may be too late to keep them from resuming killings and kidnappings when the Baghdad security crackdown ends.

Is a problem with that one Nydan . . . Shiite majority military and police has its own problems from within with radical members going stray . . .

If the majority Shiite can not control his own command then on who they are going to used force?

They will have to start from within their ranks.

Well, like marg6043 said, Shiite majority army and police have many of their own violent and murderous militias, and Death Squads and god-knows-what-more - which means they are the same as any other sects and insurgent fragments or terrorists operating in Iraq. They just have a different mask, but actually we are dealing with the same dragon - only with another head. They are all doing the killing, the raping, the blowing up - and the civilians in Iraq pay the price.

So, where is that PLAN which shall provide PEACE to this region?

Plan B was needed three or four years ago. Now that Cheney has said that the US wants to leave Iraq with honour which is pretty much admitting defeat. So really all where going to see is the buck being passed onto someone else.
