The Nuclear Threat is Real!

Topic started on 20-11-2002 @ 11:00 AM by nyeff

A bureaucratic mix-up in London Friday, November 8, forced British officialdom into the unwilling admission that international terrorists may now wield a nuclear threat and it could be aimed at Britain.

On Thursday, November 7, Tom Ridge, US homeland minister and senior member of the Bush cabinet, said to the center for defense studies at Kingís College London: ìOur transportation networks, power generating plants and industries can be attacked with potentially catastrophic consequences. Our public safety and health infrastrucfures can be quickly overwhelmed producing casualties in the thousands or tens of thousands. This is the inescapable reality of the 21st century.î

The Koreans wouldn't dare hit the US. They know it would mean total annihilation of their country by nuclear means.

North Korea missiles don't have the range to hit CONUS just yet. Situations like North Korea's are exactly what Bush's ABM policy is designed to protect against.

I'm not sure. We have to deal with the Sout-Koreans, the Chicoms & the Russians. That's why the NMD is a good thing. USA will intercept their ICBM's and will take non-nuclear retaliations. We can't nuke the whole North-Korea. But we can nuke them just a few.

And what if China or Sk or even Russia are mistakenly hitted by a US nuke ? The Chicoms & the Russians will launch their ICBM's also.

The Nodong 3 is the ICBM there are designing at the moment. The CEP of the missile would be close to the 1st generation of US missiles, in other words woefully inaccurate. With the size of the payload it can carry, it packs a tiny punch as far as ICBM's go.

Check out the previous post with the NK Missile Guide link.

It's easy to contol a population that's scared so they keep us in fear.

If we are scared then the terrorists are winning, ie scaremongering is part of the wider problem.
