Gillan - If I Sing Softly (1981)

Lyrics:

The touch of your skin
Alive and glistening
What are you doing to me
You've got a hold on me

The smile in your eyes
Your breath and your sigh
What have you done to me
When will you come to me

I want to be beside you
I want to be inside you
How can I wait much longer
My love is growing stronger
Will you love me
Baby will you stay with me, love me
Will you hold me and love me
I need you, we must be together
Will you stay here forever
If I sing softly to you

Your body so near
The joy and the fear
Soon we shall be as one
Soon we shall be as one
I want to be beside you
I want to be inside you
How can I wait much longer
My love is growing stronger
Will you love me
Baby will you stay with me, love me
Will you hold me and love me
I need you, we must be together
Will you stay here forever
If I sing softly to you

There was me thinking the 80's was the decade that music forgot, apparently not! Lot's of good post's, hopefully here's some more.

The Housemartins - Happy Hour - 1986

Teardop Explodes - Reward - 1981

Gun - Shame On You - 1989

Toyah - Ieya - 1980

How we loved her, how we hated her when she "sold out". How pretentious we were!

New Order - Your Silent Face - 1983

Rubbish video, beautiful song.

And finally, before I go to the pub, my faves :w:

New Model Army - White Coats - 1989

Such an influence on me.

Vice Squad - Last Rockers - 1980

Beki, utmost respect.

Killing Joke - Wardance - 1980

Brilliant.

The Business - Suburban Rebels - 1981

Wanted to post some quality Rejects but couldn't find anything.
Not a bad substitute.

Cock SParrer - England Belongs To Me - 1982

Just love Cock Sparrer, shame I couldn't get any footage from the 80's, this was recorded in 2006 I think.
Check out the whole Shock Troops album, Oi / street punk at it's best and purest.

Peter Gabriel - We Do What We're Told (Milgram's 37) - (1986)

Source

Original Music Video With Peter Gabriel and a clip from Kubrick's "Full Metal Jacket" and Parker's "Birdy". By Xaxier Reivax

Source

Its title refers to one of Stanley Milgram's infamous experiments in obedience that tested whether people would obey an authority figure giving them morally questionable instructions to administer electric shocks of up to 450 volts to subjects who failed to answer questions correctly. About two-thirds continued to follow the experimenter's instructions to the end, despite prerecorded shouts of pain from the apparent subject and the knowledge they would be paid regardless of whether they completed the experiment or not.
