I think road rage is partially caused by the toxic quality of the air in clogged roadways and in cars. People get demented from the poisoning. Notice they'd just gotten through eating their toxic food.

Isn't it funny how the justice system always seems to find the worst examples to show of law and order. This need a great appeal lawyer who will battle to the death for her. God I wish I was one, I would take her case for free.

Exactly.

It was road rage.

It was attempted assault.

It was vandalism to private property.

Honestly, the fact that she is a mother is a non important matter in this case, nor is the fact her sister was pregnat.. nor that her husband is in IRaq.. it is all irrelivant to her actions. People need to take responcibility for their actions. And quite honestly she doesnt sounds like a very nice person.

2 years is harsh, but I bet she wont throw drinks at people anymore huh?

Well, if she was driving down the interstate and threw a cup of ice, that ice is traveling at a pretty high speed. Last time i checked, ice was a solid. A solid hitting something at those high speeds, especially a car under operation by another driver, can cause major damage.

Two years probation sounds about right to me for something like this. Just because it was ice doesn't mean it wasn't dangerous, and just becuase nobody got hurt doesn't mean it was okay to do. And just because her husband is in Iraq doesn't mean she should be able to road rage when road rage has been a particularily saucy topic of late. And just because she has three kids and a pregnant sister doesn't mean she can do whatever her emotions dictate.

Update: Ice-throwing driver spared from prison

Source Link: news.yahoo.com

STAFFORD, Va. - A woman who hurled a McDonald's cup of ice into a car that cut her off in traffic was sentenced to probation instead of prison Wednesday.

Jessica Hall, 25, could have gotten two years behind bars after being convicted last month of maliciously throwing a missile — the cup of ice — into an occupied vehicle in what was dubbed the "McMissile" case. No one was injured in the incident last July on Interstate 95.

So she's not going to jail.

lol a felony. A FELONY. Thats harsh. Thats like saying a snowball thrown at someone is a felony because its attempted assault, and intention to commit a malicious act. Omg not ice. I had some kids pull up to me and throw a cup of ice at me. Ill call the cops and theyll go on probation...ma hahahahha. Seriously though. Thats rediculous. Its a cup of ice. If something had happened like a car accident, or bruising, then call it a felony. It would be assault. I think laws are too strict. "With the intent" That is the biggest load of poo ive ever heard. This kid I knew was sitting in a car waiting for his friend in a car. He was wasted but his friend was inside getting food in mcdonalds. So an officer pulls up and puts the kid under arrest for a dwi, because since he was in the passenger seat, and he was in the car drunk, he had the intent to drive. Next thing I know im going to buy a gun and be convicted of intent to kill or endanger the welfare of others. [/rant]
