New finds show longevity of Egyptian necropolis

I for one am deeply intrigued by the fact that our science's are being rehonned for unexpected correction's. The Egyptians(I have always thought) were in an upper intelligence level for thier time.
Hopefully they will find the hidden treasure's they have mentioned. Very important discovery for this day and age, could lead to possible find's for purpose of question..

Oh, it's for real! The "treasures" may not be gold/silver/etc but are pottery and human remains and other artifacts and texts. The tomb of the cupbearer is particularly interesting, because of the political and religous fallout from Akhenaten.

I'm not surprised that there's much older things in the necropolis. The area was continually inhabited ever since its founding, and the necropolis (graveyard) is probably layered with these ancient gravesites.

I can't wait to see more on this!

man that is crazy man

I chaperoned a field trip for my daughter's school yesterday.
We went to see the Golden Age of Egypt - and the treasures of King Tut.
It's at the Franklin Institute in Philly up through the entire summer.
VERY NICE exhibit. No mummies (my daughter was happy about that).
Anyways, if you like egyptian stuff (I love it!), consider visiting the show.
But be sure to get tickets ahead of time. They sell out fast.
