Have any you guys gone back and read presidential speeches from back in the cold-war? It's almost, -almost- laughable at how similiar they are to the speeches made by our politicians today. If you substitute "Terrorism" for "Communism" and "Iraq/Iran" for "Russia/Cuba" the dialogue is interchangeable and indistinguishable.

Terrorism is the new Communism, and the military industrial complex keeps on chuggin.

Any thoughts?

Funny how these comparisons go straight from The Cold War to the 21st Century, conveniently skipping over the 1990s, when more American troops were deployed on more fruitless military operations than at any time in American history, before or since the 90s. Who were the enemies of America in the 90s? Oh, yes... Ruby Ridge, Waco, Oklahoma City... the enemies of America in the 90s were the American People themselves.

Remember the greatest lie ever told by an American president? "You can't love your country and hate your government." That was more than an ultimatum issued against the American People in 1995. Look for more of the same when that philosophy regains power in America.
