Several news sources have reported stories based on a research paper done at Indiana University about drive by Pharming. It talks about how clicking on a link could cost you very much. For this to happen several factors much come to pass. They include using a wireless router, Java script, and clicking on the wrong link.

It would have been difficult to explain all of what this drive by pharming is in the opening paragraph. But what does happen in a nut shell is the crooks use the administrative passwords to get into your router. Then they replace certain addresses you use, like say banking address, with addresses to there sites, where then you reveal all your personal information. The sites they set up are designed to look exactly like the real sites so the victim is nun the wiser.

Ways to protect your self is changing the admin password on your router, don't use java.

I really liked using my router but am thinking maby its better that I don't now.
