Now about the pictures, I will post them in about 3 weeks I have to go to Chicago to get them put on a disc(all the places around me look at the pictures) so it will be a while put I promise I will post proof

Wow, thanks for coming back! I was worried that the monster got you or something. But, you can understand how we thought you were pulling our legs. I mean, you made a single post and then disappeared for weeks. But, have a fun time in Chicago and we look forward to those photos.

hello leechy! i hope to god (for whatever use that would be!) that you're not pulling our legs with this, it's just too damned fantastical a find.
i'm in total agreement that the whole thing sounds like a major kiddy-hoax - wishful thinking on the part of a young person with a lively imagination. but as someone has already said, that doesn't mean he/she isn't telling the truth

the promise of pictures gets me mega-excited, but i'll curb my childish enthusiasm until the proof is actually in front of me.

soldier, great pix! not to diss you at all, but there was no mention of clothing or teeth, and it looked pretty wolfy still kickass though!

also, i think someone mentioned it having wings - leech never actually confirmed that.

thanks to leech, hoaxer or not, for posting about this - it reminded me of something i saw a few years ago and i'm going to post about it finally!

Cmon, "I have evidence (proof?), I just can't post it right now"!?! Lame! It would be one thing if it were something like, "I am at work right now, I will post as soon as I get home", but 3 weeks? Think this through "I have pictures, but I can not post them for 3 weeks"... Uh huh.

Yep. I am officially convinced this was a hoax now. That old "I'll put the pictures up soon" bit is always a good sign. If you can't get some pictures online without traveling out of your town on a 3 week trip, then you have no business posting pictures and probably don't even know how.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm not giving up yet. None of us know what his circumstances actually are. He says that he has to get them onto a disc or something, so maybe he really needs to actually get them on a disc in order to show it to us. And maybe he has to go on this 3 week trip before he can find time to put it on disc.

I'm giving Leech the benefit of a doubt.

Sorry about how long its taking to get the pictures up I used a disposable camera so I have to get the disk to get them up, and btw I'm 13 not 25 so the lame work excuse would'nt have worked, anyway my dad tore the rotary cups or whatever in his shoulders so I have to wait till he recovers from the surgery before I can go up there to get the disposable camera pics put on a disk...

Leech, how long do you think itll take until you get those photos onto ATS? We're trying to be patient here, and as you can understand, some of us think you're pulling our legs. But if you truly do have photos of an unidentified bipedal beast lurking around your neck of the woods, then PLEASE PLEASE get them here on ATS as soon as possible.

Think of the impact that these photos would have if shown! Seriously, this could be the next Patterson/Gimli footage! But this creature could represent something much broader than just a bigfoot. To theologists, it could be a demon. To biologists, it could be a new species or evolutionary anomaly. To cryptozoologists, it could be a breakthrough in discovering new beasts and creatures. Media outlets such as the internet would have a field day with these photos and you would be famous for snapping these shots.

So PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEEEASE get them onto a disc and onto your computer and onto ATS As Soon As Possible!!!! JUST THINK OF THE CULTURAL/SPIRITUAL/SCIENTIFIC RAMIFICATIONS!!!!

Please do not disappear for another 10 weeks. If you really cannot post the photos immediately, then stay on ATS and tell us more about your encounter with this beast. Many of us are still keeping our ears to the monitor.

if *your* 13 year old kid was supposedly being stalked by the jersey devil, don't you think you'd have noticed?
leech, how come you've not shown your family this creature if it comes to your garden so regularly? how did you manage to get this claimed footage? if you used a disposable you just take it to the local supermarket (or american equivalent - i live in brit) and they'll do it for you in 2 hours.
if you really saw what you saw, what stopped you from getting your folks involved? surely your family has a way to leave your house without your dad driving? if you really have stored footage on film of a jersey devil, then it's in your best interests to immediately badger your mum or whoever into getting that film developed.
i know for a fect that if i'd been in your shoes i'd have called every newspaper, every tv channel, every professional in the world by now.

i'm sorry to dog you down, but i've lost all enthusiasm for this thread. it'd be nice if people understood that there's more to cryptozoology than monsters and myth. some of us joined this forum for more than just folktales and imagination.

the chances of anything like you described existing as a species is so improbable that it can be safely counted as impossible. creatures just do not evolve like that - each body part is genetically programmed via natural selection to do the best job possible on keeping that species alive. a cat with hooves and (possibly) wings? bipedal? the only bipedal creatures on this planet are primates, and they're about as far away from feline/canine anatomy and behavior as you could get within mammalia.

what also confuses me is this claw business. if it had claws on the front feet, chances are it'd have claws on it's back feet. AFAIK there are no animals (other than birds and fish of course) whose front legs are different from it's back legs.

seriously fella, what with the mishmashed animal parts, the location itself, the chances of schoolboy pranking, and total lack of urgency as far as the supposed evidence goes, i'm pretty much closing my personal casefile on this thread.

Ok first things first why is it every time some one younger than twenty says they saw a creature every one thinks there lying? Second off the reason I haven't told my mom yet is because she sleeps like all day(honest to god the woman is like a freakin bear in winter) and if you wake her you might as well jump in front of a bus(it wouldn't be as bad) and my dad lives over 80 miles away in Chicago, To top it off the reason I dont go to the local 'Super Market' is because people in my town are nosey as .... and they have stolen pics of mine before so I have to wait till I can go to Chicago to see my dad so I can use his computer to get all the pics up and stuff.Oh and btw who said I had video footage of it?


P.S. DO any of you live near Decatur, Illinois cause thats where I live and I would be more than happy to show you the spot where I saw the thing

i live about four hours from there, but i wont go anywhere until i see some proof of this thing that you saw. (i probably wouldn't go four hours to look at some woods anyway *lazy*)

Could you describe the creature some more? Did it make any strange sounds or attempt to communicate? Did it ever attack you or follow you? Tell us if this creature appears again.

The last time I saw it I heard a low humming noise kinda like certain computer when they start up, and as far as I know it hasn't followed me yet (at least I hope not).

sorry leech, i wasn't making a comment about your age! personally it annoys me, too, when people assume anyone younger than themselves is stupid. i used to get it all the time when i joined my first out-of-school groups (local astronomer's society, penyscynor zoo, neath paranormal society, and a few other ones i'd rather not name for fear of ridicule lol).

nobody's saying you *have* video footage. we were just talking about if you managed to GET any.

can you understand though how it must look to us all here? we've seen nothing, all we have to go on is your story. there are bound to be those who will discredit you straight away because of the length of time it's taking for you to actually back up your story. this is nothing personal, i for one would expect the same treatment if i was in your shoes.

what i can't understand is why your friend hasn't told his parents either, and why you haven't asked *his* parents for help on this. if you really did see something that terrifying in the woods, the police for one would be damn interested. they have facilities to develop photos if you have caught anything on film that they would find useful. you could always send your film to your dad to be developed, and he could send them back to you.
what i'm getting at is that there are a multitude of ways to get that film developed, and many people and organisations that will offer their assistance with this.
