Artificial trees to purify air

I found this link while searching on google....the inventor proposes a synthetic tree that will capture up to 1000 times more CO2 than a regular tree. It is a great idea, however, only in the conceptual design stage.

Great Idea!
Normal trees can only take in so much CO2 before the limiting factors kick in stopping it taking in anymore CO2 and today there is a lot more CO2 in the air than there should be so if he pulls this off say good bye to large amounts of CO2.
BTW what is Richard Bransons contest?

What does it do with all the carbon? O_o

It could be great if you could make the tree synthesize oil out of it..
