Who would of thunk it. Hillary has exceeded the expectations of privacy and consumer groups by taking the strongest stand on privacy rights of any presidential candidate. Pundits question her ability to make this happen either as a senator or as president. This legislation also calls for a white house privacy czar.

she unveiled a proposed "Privacy Bill of Rights" that would, among other things, give Americans the right to know what's being done with their personal information, and offer consumers an unprecedented level of control over how that data is used.

"At all levels, the privacy protections for ordinary citizens are broken, inadequate and out of date," Clinton said.

I'm tired of all these damn czars. Pass the damn thing and let the attorney general enforce it.

What do we do first, have a non-binding resolution on the matter?

Hillary is politically savvy enough to know this is unlikely to have any legislative legs before the 2008 elections, so it allows her to pander to the democratic base without doing anything.

She will say what ever she need to, to get the votes. She and most educated people can see this is a ploy. This will probably put her past Obama in the stupid people poll.
