Al Franken, comedian and host of the failed Air America Radio show, has announced his bid for US Senator from Minnesota.

Comedian Al Franken did his final radio show on Air America on Wednesday and announced that he's seeking the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate from Minnesota.

Now that Franken has tossed his hat in the ring, reporters around the country can expect some juicy quotes from the candidate-to-be. Franken is known, among other things, for making outrageous remarks:

Said Karl Rove and Lewis Libby should be "executed"
Said Rush Limbaugh was a "big fat idiot"
Stated that the founder of Air America was a "crook"

Please visit the link provided for the complete story.

Franken may be able to get a few ultra-liberals to vote for him, but he will never win the election. He has absolutely no political acumen, and is just a disgruntled voice that wants attention.

Hey it doesn't matter if he has political background or not, we have various actors in political positions and also one former president.

The key is . . . if people like them enough . . . it makes no difference.

Wasn't this guy a complete failure at his last job?

If he couldn't get results for Air America, how does he expect to get results for Minnesota?

Hopefully Minnesotans will look carefully at this choice.

We might be on to something here.....

Elect Al Franken MN; Chris Rock NY; Artie Lange NJ; Jackie Mason FL, etc...etc...

Then, instead of wasting our taxpayer money on nonproductive representatives in government, we could enjoy an occasional "comedy roast" on the Senate floor courtesy of CSPAN.....

Yep, Air America failed.

Rush and the rest of em are still on the air, still the GOP took a good "Thumpin" in the last election.

Maybe just not being associated with the GOP and the current administration is enough to get elected wheather or not you have credentials.
