Have a look at this story. I know some of this is out there and why, but I wonder HOW deep the rabbit hole goes?

media.guardian.co.uk...

In this day and age, you cannot trust anything you read, hear, or see I guess.

What are your thoughts on what the media does or what they did in this case? Wrong or not?

Agreed that the media must indicate to its readers any fabrication in work submitted as journalism especially if known.

Mind you that would greatly reduce their output wouldn't it?

Well...remember a few years ago when some magazine or newspaper in the US got in trouble because they printed a picture of OJ Simpson in which they were said to have intentionally made his skin darker.

Of course it was all because the darker your skin is the more guilty you are!
People are nuts.

that's a very racist point of view..

the black race secluding/isolating themselves from the rich and white could be possibly a reason...any1 up for saying something on those lines??

Alteration of images and video footage is common in TV and newspapers. THat's my own experience from working at one big tv station which also dealt with magazines/newspapers.

Anyways I think it is not bad at all. It depends if it is altered in the understanding of "illustrating" it is ok for me. When a picture is altered as proof of something it's against all press ethics.

So, like, if the media were to use this as "proof" of aliens:

That would be wrong?
