Don't expect an AMD torrenza, but the project proves the concept that a computer can be made using water.

So, we have two boolean operations in just one device: AND and XOR. So, that's a half-adder!

But it was a long way to get there......

Ah...that's older than you are, most likely.

They used to use fluidic logic in missile guidance systems in the '60s.

Some GM vehicles use a fluidic oscillator in the windshield washer nozzles.

So, the "concept was proved" about 50 years ago, when the fluidic amplifier came out. Some fluidic logic uses liquids but most of them use the fluid flow characteristics of gases.
