I did a tribute to the STS-107 Columbia.
img.villagephotos.com...

It's simple. To the point. The alternate caption I decided not to attach was...
Columbia, forever voyaging.

Saphire, Darklanser....

Why don't you post a link to your galleries in the Gallery thread???

Scat - Bryce is a 3D modelling program that was originally put out by MetaCreations but was sold to Corel. Here's a link to some more info about it.
Bryce5

elevatedone - You can use any of my art as a wallpaper. I feel honored.

I think I'll do that.
Speaking for Sapph.(Hope she doesn't mind) She's on hiatus from ATS for a while. She says she'll be back though.

I hate to one up anyone, but...let's just consider this my version.....

I ordered the book Above Black by Dan Sherman. I had read the few online chapters a while back and was very interested in hearing the rest of his story. His website has a link to a person that made a "cover" for the e-book version of Above Black. I am amazed that someone can make money doing this, so here is my first attempts at e-book covers. If they get enough good reviews, I will consider this as an alternate source of income. Please be honest, and check out other people's e-book covers as well. Thanks. dl.
Here's an alternate version of Above Black.

Here is one I tested the format on.

There are programs which do this for you, but I used Photoshop 7 completely. I created a template to re-use over and over.
The price for one of these little images is over $100 !!!
I would be willing to do it for wayyyyy less.
What price do you think is appropriate?

Ok, new format for my ebook cover template. I think it's more eye-catching.

You really should get Above Black. It's an awesome read.

I've read Above Black, it was very good.

I only hope that it's true.

Keep posting that art, you're very talented

My new idea for a business. How's this for a sample?

I want honest opinions. If this pans out, I might give ATS members discounts for any eBook cover.

I think it looks awesome. Now, if you could animate the cover to open, and show a page....really cool.

Awesome work

Thanks !!
I could animate it. Give me a few hours though.

I'm serious about the business part of this. If the person who did the cover for Above Black can charge $97 per cover, I'm definately going to give her some competition.
I just signed up for a web host, it will be temporary until I can get some cash flow going.

This is what I imagine the ATS CD-Rom would look like...

Hey, I can dream can't I ???

(This is not intended as a dig at anyone involved in the CD-Rom project....I swear !!)

Optical illusion. Watch it closely, looks like writhing snakes to me.

I modified it from this illusion.

It's funny how it retained it's illusion even when distorted.

Here is a wallpaper I made a few years ago. It's sort of minimalistic. A kind of zen approach to the desktop.

Zen Spider

Enjoy.

Sig pic and avatar for another board. It's an art community board called yaXay. Their avatars can only be 64x64 !!! For an art community, they are awfully restricting with their avatar sizes.

Avatar

Sig pic. At least they have a bigger limit on the sig pic sizes.

C&C appreciated people.

Thanks Sapph. No, I just did a pic with a rhino logo. I didn't even know there was a program called Rhino until another member (groingrinder, I think..) pointed it out.
Other than Bryce, I am lost when it comes to 3D programs. I've tried AC3D, 3D Studio Max, MAYA...the list goes on. I can't seem to grasp the mathematics involved.
