A bus carrying Iranian revolutionary Guards was blown up in Zahedan, in southeastern Iran close to the Iran-Afghanistan-Pakistan border. Reports conflict on the number of soldiers killed from 11-18 at this point.

Irans Fars news agancy says a Sunni group with ties to Al Qaeda has claimed responsibility.

The bomb was hidden in a car and exploded at about 6.30 a.m. (3 a.m. British Time) as the bus, belonging to a unit that transports employees of the Guards, passed by, IRNA said. Pictures showed the blast left a mangled bus wreckage on the side of the road.

TEHRAN, Iran - A car loaded with explosives blew up near a bus carrying members of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards in southeastern Iran, killing 18 of them, the state-run news agency reported Wednesday.

According to unconfirmed Web site reports, the attack was claimed by a shadowy Sunni militant group, Jundallah, which has been blamed for a string of armed incidents in volatile Sistan-Baluchestan province.

Reports also say that five suspects were arrested.

...but I tough those cases where limited to occupied countries like Iraq?
