Why is every body being so blind

That mentality goes well beyond just the religious apocalyptical Christians, madnesss. We all, at times, are short sighted and do not see nor care what the consequences of our actions will be in the long term. Sadly, this has been turned into a political issue where it is so difficult to get the true story because all sides of the issue are spinning the facts they don't just make up to fit their agenda.
