Is anyone watching the images that are coming through from the orbiter?
These images a huge, over 600 megs each and you can see things the size of a basket ball on mars.
JPL has a website where they allow people to tag images for interesting features to look at. Seems to me they dont have enough people or time to examine the images as they are coming in to fast and the science phase of the project has not even started yet.

This tells me that no one is editing out the things we are looking for.

The fullsize HiRISE images require a JP2 viewer, though lower resolution images are available also.

Wow, thats really cool, really still blows my mind that we can see Mars in that detail this far away.

Is that rover still in operation and how long will it be if it still is?

yep theyre both still going strong after 3 years They were designed to last 3 months. The wind on mars is keeping them alive, it blows the dust off the solar panels .

It will probably be an electronic failure that kills them like the motherboard failing. Nobody knows how long the rovers will last
