I did a search for this because I thought somebody would have posted this by now but nothing came up in the search. Forgive me if it has already been posted.

It does seem that we may (officially) be at war with Iran by spring despite denials. I just wonder how a UK news outlet could possibly have access to this information.

The Bush administration wants to attack Iran, no doubt about that. But why? I think the main 2 reasons are 1. To protect Israel (USA is Israel's bitch) and 2. To send oil prices soaring: If attacked, Iran could block the Strait of Hormuz, where most of the ME oil comes through. Supply and demand.

The question is, will there be another self-inflicted 9/11 style attack on the US, or perhaps the question should be 'where' and 'how' will this false-flag event manifest itself. I believe it will be in the US because the current policy is to attack Iran IMMEDIATELY after another major terror attack on US soil, regardless of who the attacker is. Obviously the finger will be pointed directly at Iran (or indirectly, maybe Hezb'allah or Hamas)

I dont think Iran will be able to succesfully block the strait of hormuz for very long, Im sure the Pentagon has a contigency plan if this occured.

The U.S. has contingency plans for virtually every possible scenario. Irans armed forces could be destroyed in days.

Thank you for posting that first link with all of the pictures of Iran and its people. It sure is a beautiful country and I wouldn't mind visiting it sometime...if it wasn't for the extremism that goes on there.

Not a problem. I am glad you like them.

But coming back to your thread. Hear are some of my thoughts! it is meant to be very sarcastic!

So my guess is if the attack on Iran happens then the following will happen probably at once in a larger magnitude from multiple locations across Iran:

[please watch the videos by following the links and then imagine that this is not a practice!--scary thought I know
]

So hear it goes:

Dear visitors to Iran welcome to Iran. We recognise that there is a lot of you and you are not all the same. So in order to receive best service you should ref ere to the following:

If you are a sea man:

www.youtube.com...

Iran testing anti-ship missile
This is for our fellow guests on board. We recognise your value and have specialised hosts looking for you upon your arrival to make sure your unique needs are met.

And some of this:

www.youtube.com...

Iran's missile power will be released as a token of appreciation to your gifts just delivered by your personal messengers

and then the guys above might come looking for you, especially if the first guests go back and give the news of how much fun they have had in Iran:

Don't worry we are ready for mass visitors

www.youtube.com...

Irani millitary exercises

some more picks of these friendly fellows:

military power
guided bomb

and please take it easy on the new guys, they might not be really friendly as they feel a bit threatened in their new environment.

tor

if soldiers and choppers come in, they should ask for these guys as they specialise in infantry and choppers and armored divisions

IRGC 3rd Holy Prophet military exercises
And these ones:

Iran's Anti armor missile

And these ones also saying high to guest in the sea:

How many of these can be defended against at once?

and these guys having enjoyed your company in their country will try to come and stay over; if your lucky they might even return some of the good will>

rapid reaction forces.

IRGC-4th-day

and now lets talk about Strait of Hormuz as I am sensing it is feeling a little bit lonely

sea mining:
IRGC fifth day

MooneyBravo A couple of days of fun for you I guess?

---a supposed simulation of Irans air defence,

www.youtube.com...

off course its shows US with no counter defence ability which is questionable but look at the number of missiles that will be fired at some limited targets from various points!

but offcourse if you choose to be boring and unthreatening or for some strange reason you decide to get along with others instead of fighting then you should look for this:

www.irandefence.net...

They are waiting for you

I hope you enjoy your hosts
whomever you choose to visit

oops!

Mate, I don't mean to shift the blame but a lot of that "extremism" started when CIA staged a Coup in iran in 1953!

Maybe if everyone starts looking at themselfs first and then look outward we might make things better?

Once/if the Iran US relations normalise you should go and see that there is not actually that much terrorism on the streets of Iran
see some of the pics I have posted.

Cheers.

And is this the attack you are yearning for?

www.youtube.com...

I do hope that everything will only stay in the virtual and hypothetical realm. I am sure both Iranians and Americans are not ready to take so much damage( Iran a lot more offcourse - damage that is!)

zurvan, i hate to say it but those videos you posted are unimpressive, my favorite was the troops on dirt bikes, hilarious at best. why would the united states attack iran if we didnt think we could take out irans military in days?

first we dont plan to invade, just airstrikes. secondly the united states military is not going to send planes in that your missiles can hit. you dont realize how smart the american military is. we may not be able to occupy a country, but we sure can destroy nations armys pretty damned quick. the united states has the most technologicly advanced military in the world, the planes we will be attacking you with will be with tech stuff the media doesnt know about and iran doesnt know about, we dont parade our military premise on the streets like most wanna be military nation tough guys, we do that for a reason.

i dont fear irans military one bit, what i do fear is terrorist cells springing up in the united states, that scares the hell out of me. that right there is your trump card, the small one the iranians have.

Well, the same thing can be said about the US. It surely is a beautifull country. It's a shame there is so much extremism.. The US top thinks they are the rulers of the world..

Open your eyes man.. Who is the extremist?

It sure is a pretty country. I actually think the Iranian people would welcome Americans as visitors but the Iranian Secret Service would probably watch you like a hawk.

It is sad that we live in a world where small groups of people control everything & drive a wedge between the larger human societies. I would imagine most families in Iran are like ours in that they just want to raise their children in peace and just be happy.

It is too bad we have to live like this. You do have to ask the question of why Iran wants Nukes. I would say it is directly related to Iraq and what we are capable of as far as winning wars. Insurgencies are another thing altogether. The destruction of an entire countries infrastructure is fairly easy with a military machine like ours.

I am not saying we shouldn't have gone into Iraq. I am just saying that Iran sees us as a threat because of how it was done this time and I don't blame them for wanting nukes. IMO we should have went into Baghdad the first time around when we were invited. We spent a decade and billions enforcing a no fly zone while Sadam defied the UN at every turn. We should have just done it the first time and we wouldn't have had as much tension with Iran.

I sure hope we can aviod bombing these people as well. Like I said before I think we common people of the US have more in commom with the common people of Iran than we all realize. I think it holds true for most common people around the world. We just want to raise our families in peace and that is just not allowed by the few who "know what's best for us."

I think you wont find Iran such a push over as you may expect.........
I hope the wild weasels have the gear to screw up the TOR missle system they just aquired....
It was Russian Kornets that stopped the isrealis in Lebannon.....
Suddenly those Mercavas werent so snug and safe....
It doesnt take a lot of imagination to picture the human wave attacks that would face American troops if they invaded.Saddam Hussien may have lost without american aid.
The Iranis were a formidable enemy in that war......their grit and determination was commendable....
From the air, it may not be as easy as it might seem either....
Big ships are big targets, and very dependant on other smaller ships to protect them....
If the iranis were to get within 50 miles of the Stennis they could launch one missle that could take her out.....It would only take one exocette type to do it.
Iran does have a plethora of fast attack boats that are small but hard to hit .......2 submarines as well.....
Think sbout the countries reaction to the sinking of an aircraft carrier...
that is where put my money on an irani attack of preemption....
Though Iran may not have built a bob, there is no reason they couldnt have bought one.....
just one atom bomb on a carrier groupe.....
what would the effect be?

A combination of US high-tech war-machines and swaggering low-brow arrogance just makes me want to groan. As we have seen this week with the inquest of Cpl. Matty Hull, hi-tech 'smart weapons' are only as smart as the person operating them.
