5. And they were close, These craft were IN EASTLAKE over the lake, no sound, the closest airport again is Burke and that is in Cleveland, a half hour drive west.

Can you tell us exactly where you filmed this from and what direction the lights were in? Is "eastlake" a town or just that part of the lake?

Eastlake is a city, A suburb of Cleveland which as I have said, is about a half hour drive if there is no traffic heading West. Eastlake is situated right on Lake Erie.

I filmed these objects on a nearby beach in Eastlake, I live very close to the lake, within Walking distance. Eastlake isn't that big so if you google map "Eastlake OHIO" you will be able to get a very good idea of where this was filmed.

The objects were heading "EAST"....Away from Cleveland and the nearest Airport :-)

Hey all. defcon5.. Seems to me you put up some defense in trying to debunk the video from unknowns to knowns, ie AC Navigational lights and that's cool in my judgement book.

I just wanted you to know I don't agree just based on everything about the video. But I suppose the photo/vid analysis experts will render an opinion and we can go from there.

Again I suggest the lights are not from navigational lights on domestic aircraft in flight.

Thanks Frozenthought. It seems pretty plausible that it was a plane landing at Burke Lakefront Airport from the location you gave. Burke is only 14 miles west of Eastlake and the object on the left did head west, not east.

Im not expert but if you look at CLEVELAND-HOPKINS INTL and see where their landing runway is it looks like they would bring in planes from over the lake to cut down on noise. This would make them go right by eastlake. Also the objects appear to be low to the lake but the earths curve is at 13 miles. The airplane thing needs to be looked into more by experts...

I still think your video is great frozenthought

If I didn't make a mistake and this is really your Eastlake, can you explain more or less where you were and where did you had your camera pointing to in the following image?

Thanks.

Good catch Area51vidz. Burke is setup for approaches along the lakeshore, Hopkins would definitely need to be approached from across the lake.

they were both heading East, object # 1 veered South East I guess is how you would say it at the last moment

Object #2 was heading East then went North east back out over the lake.

Both objects were going away from the airport

It sure looked to me that the object on the left was heading left, which would be west or south west if you like. To move east of your position it would have to appear on your right.

Is there any reason why you haven't mentioned there's an airport less than 4 miles east of you on Lost Nation Road?

Can you see where it says "Lakeline" that is where this was shot, I have also filmed many things at the beach where it says "Timberlake"

You see the power Plant on the far right part of that Beach? That is CEI power Plant

That is where this Famous UFO event took place

www.ufocasebook.com...

Now keep in mind that the power plant the UFO was seen over in the above story from 1988, it's the same axact power plant that the blackout of a few years ago that took out the whole North Eastern United States and some a Canada, that blackout was traced back to this same Power Plant in Eastlake Ohio, which is right next to Cleveland on Lake Erie, here is that story

If you are looking out over the lake You are looking North, For the object to travel west, It would have had to turn around and go back the way from where it came

Not really, These were flying very low over the lake? They were not landing at Lost Nation which is what, a few miles inland. which is a very small airport, I actually forgot about it, until you mentioned it.

I have flown into Cleveland Hopkins many, many, many times... (the vast majority of my family lives in the Mentor area) I've always approached one of two ways, accross the lake or from inland (I imagine it depends on the winds no?) I don't remember ever coming along the shoreline of the lake.

That doesn't mean I haven't,
it just means I don't remember doing it.

Unusual Situation Reported in Northern Ohio
printer friendly version send to a friend previous | next
On Wednesday morning, September 22, numerous callers to Cleveland, Ohio radio station 1100 WTAM reported a rainbow-like aerial situation similar to a 'Sundog.' The situation complicates, however, as others begin describing unusual contrails, jet scrambles and other military activity all across northern Ohio.

One caller described an unusual light seen the night before Sept. 22 while driving home from Detroit around 1:00 a.m. while another caller claimed the similar sighting of a 'bluish green light' around 10:35 p.m. on Route 8 near the Stow, Ohio area (north of Akron). At daybreak the morning of Sept. 22, northeastern Ohio skies were allegedly 'ripped' with jet vapor trails.

Another caller, a truck driver with a route between Cleveland and Youngstown, and alleges that his GPS (Global Positioning System) that pinpoints his mapping location on a laptop computer, began malfunctioning between 8 and 9:00 a.m., although working flawlessly beforehand. Stranger still, another caller claimed that Route 12, a south/north road out of Fostoria, Ohio, was blocked by "tons" of army trucks and traffic was being diverted.

This activity was briefly referenced on the Cleveland UFO E-list, but with no new information. Secondly, I did receive three E-mail advisement's regarding this activity from various contacts, along with one copied message from 'June' that states: " I talked with my Mom today, and she told me that on channel 19 at 5 pm, Wed., Sept. 22, the TV news anchor said that there were hundreds of reports of UFO's all over the lakefront area of Ohio. He said that after the commercial breaks he would give the details. My mom was very curious and waited to hear the news. When the news came back on, NOTHING. So the story was squashed. I talked to a few people at work today, and yes, they had heard about the sightings. Everyone was talking about it. So lots of people here in Ohio heard about it before the news was suppressed. According to my Mom, the TV anchor said that people saw what looked like a huge cloud with rainbow colors along with many UFO's that were not disguising themselves as clouds. I also learned that fighter jets were sent out after them." (Note, I do not know June who copied me on her comments to a few other researchers, but she signed her name with the addition of "In The Light," and I cannot vouch for her comments – Kenny Young.)

Further, Mrs. Donnie Blessing, Southern Ohio State Director for MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) spoke with a witness in Cleveland who contacted the Cincinnati UFO Hotline (513 - 588 - 4548) on September 28th to advise of a UFO sighting in Canada on September 21st.

While taking the information, Ken advised that his wife knew of the strange reports on WTAM radio station on September 22, and further informed of UFOs and numerous (presumably) responding military helicopters seen near the Perry Nuclear Power Station. This specific detail has been considered most intriguing. At this time, we know of no substantive information to link this reference of a UFO situation near the Perry Nuclear Power Station to the September 22nd activity reported by WTAM radio.

Oddly, there was previous UFO activity reported 'on the record' by a Lake County law officer referenced in conjunction with the Perry Nuclear Facility in June of 2004, that report is located online at: Fuse.net

So unusual was this September 22nd activity that radio station WTAM created a special web page for the situation. The page contains audio clips of the many callers that are available from the WTAM UFO Page

Afternoon WTAM host Mike Trivisonno was curious and ventured into his backyard to see for himself. Although he did not see the lights he did see something peculiar, jet contrails all over the crystal clear Cleveland sky. The contrails extended in all directions as far as the eyes can see. The contrails formed a checkerboard pattern. In all of Trivisonno's years on this planet he had never seen anything like it. Or maybe it was he just never noticed it. He played the phone calls from that morning and mentioned his observations on his #1 rated afternoon show that day and asked the question "What the heck is going on"

If you have any information regarding a UFO situation taking place near the Perry Nuclear Power Station involving military helicopters or a jet scramble in response to a perceived UFO situation near the Lake County facility, please call at the contact information line given below.

Frozenthought, you say you were facing north but the video shows the lakeshore on the left of frame. The Lakeshore runs in a south westerly direction from Eastlake which means your camera was pointed south west. Here you can see in these two video captures, the shoreline and the objects - one heading west (left) and one heading east (right).

I have a google earth capture of the area showing the compass bearings but I'll have to buy more upload space to show you, so I hope I don't need to go that far to prove what I'm saying.

Frozenthought,

I'd like to thank you for being forthcoming with some of the details regarding where this video was shot. David Sereda has been much less gracious in his sharing of these details, as I've requested from him the last couple of days.

I've taken a close look at the compressed video being hosted on Youtube, which is far less than optimum for any meaningful analysis. I asked Sereda if he would be willing to share the video with Jeff Ritzmann & myself, and he flat out declined. He knows who I am, so it's not like I'm some stranger looking to grab his goodies.

Jeff thinks there's a good possibility that these are indeed conventional aircraft. I have to agree with him.

The lack of sound is exactly correct, as pointed out by defcon5. You would not expect to hear engine sound from a jet facing you, at a considerable distance. The movements of the objects are indeed consistent with defcon5's other observations. I have email from a couple of other people who live in that area, and feel that these are indeed airplanes.

More problematic is the attitude I got from Sereda, when inquiring about details of the location and specifics of your video shoot. The close proximity of airports, which I expected, is a pretty strong indication of the potential of these being airplanes. David immediately discounted any notion that this could be a possibility. When I continued to request some details, he finally accused me of being a debunker and NSA operative. You might want to talk to him about these responses to my legitimate queries.

If you would be willing to let us see the original, uncompressed video footage, Jeff & I would be happy to offer you our objective, professional opinions. Just for the record, NOTHING would thrill us more than having genuine UFO footage, but Sereda's responses to me indicate that he is less interested in the truth about this footage being discovered, and more interested in having something compelling for his film. Please forgive/correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you involved in this project, perhaps as a producer?

Great stuff Frozenthought. You answer all inquires and still the extreme skeptics come forth simply 'cause a ray-vac visual, like myself, is all that judgement can be made on. One it's (they) are conventional aircraft, or lights that don't quite fit conventional aircraft lights or movement of conventional aircraft patterns.
