Canadian Ex Defense Minister has some revealing opinions!

I personally think the pieces to the puzzel are coming together!
The revelations of the astronauts and the sightings
during space missions. The culmination of animal mutilations and
citizen sightings are all part of the big picture.I think we are on the
verge of having public contact, that cannot be denied!

Fasten your seatbelts.....
This is going to be the ride of our lives

Nasa does say it will have a station on the moon in 2020
They got their money, also!
HERE

Business is deeply involved already

The increased station use will also benefit NASA's Commercial Orbital Transportation Services contractors, California-based Space Exploration Technologies and Oklahoma's Rocketplane-Kistler. If one or both can demonstrate cargo delivery and return capabilities by 2010 they can expect to be contracted to provide that until 2020.

Shouldn't we be prepared

Most scientist say that we will know for sure by 2025.

Should we not build a base on the moon out of fear of distressing alien species

what about the apollo astrnaught who claimed alien ships were observing their moon landing from the rim of a crater?Huge ones!
We were chased off the moon!

If I'm not mistaken, the astronaut transmissions you are referring to
are strictly text. No actual voice recordings. Therefore, suspect, at best.

Just my 2 cent,

Yes and we were warned to stay away. This would certainly explain the lack of subsequent Moon exploration since then!

For some reason I have a hard time believing that a race so advanced that they could travel to earth from wherever would honestly care about the moon. Maybe Earth, but as far as they'd be concerned the moon is about as valuable as a large chunk of floating cheese in space. Only less edible.

The dark side of the moon would be a perfect place
for an alien station.I think they probably have many
but I don't think we can see or even calculate anything
on the dark side...can we??

The fact that we have not sent another mission back.
speaks volumes to me also

I think if anything it says that politicians aren't very long term thinkers when it comes to budgeting for NASA. Sad as it is, NASA has a pretty limited budget and simply can't afford to go sending missions back to the moon just for kicks. There has to be some sort of monentary benefit to this before we can expect the guys in Washington to start handing out money for missions. Meaning I wouldn't expect much until some private corporations start making proposals for strip mining the moon.

Bush going to war with aliens... yeah thats real smart...

It must have been the cryptic warnings of an alien race...the spiraling costs of the Vietnam War and the "Great Society" programs, combined with increasing public apathy toward the Moon landings couldn't possibly have any impact at all on the decision to stop spending money on the Apollo program...and the cost of re-starting the program after the production lines were shut down and dismantled, and the skilled workforce to run the lines was hired into new jobs wouldn't in any way explain why we didn't go back in the 80's or 90's.

While I'm more than open to the idea of alien civilizations, they don't represent a Universal Answer To Everything. Sometimes, it's mundane things like politics and money.
