Are Hollywood movies closer to the truth than we think?

Close Encounters of the 3D kind,Contact,Manchurian Candidate,Jacobs Ladder,Stargate,The pelican Brief. Just to name a few. Do you think that Hollywood makes these movies with a motive or with a certain influence for a kind of public disclosure to discredit these situations that are really happening? So they could say "thats silly that sounds like that one movie bla bla bla. Kind of like a public mind game?

I think some of those movies are being produced to "prepare" us for an event that we may not expect. If one looks at the Manchurian Candidate, it is certainly reminiscient of someone like Bush or even a Barak Obama who practically comes to the forefront out of nowhere.

Now, it can be said that that's not necessarily true for Bush because he was the Governor of Texas, but it certainly applies to Obama who is a relatively newcomer to the Senate.

It just seems to me if Hollywood is clever enough to think this stuff up I know that our government is smart enough to have already done it in a similar fashion. If they don't have a hand in the movie business as it is. And I know they do!

Certainly the government has their hands in all forms of media. Being a media person myself, I can assure that it does. All of the FCC and FTC regulations are out the wazoo when it comes to the media. To think the government doesn't have its fingers in the cookie dough is extreme naivete, in my honest opinion.

Yes there are, the ideas for these movies don't come from nowhere. Worringly Star wars is a significant movie, because the NWO is like dart vaders "empire. Control freaks who do hold enormous power on the worlds affairs and their grip of power is increasing as ever more draconian laws are introduced. The world is heading for a micro-chipped population. Everybody should read Huxleys Brave New World.

There's nothing to be surprised.
In USA there was the USIA, founded the first August 1953 and then folded into the Department of State's Bureau of Public Affairs the 1th October, 1999 .

In the case of Spielberg CEIII was a government influenced movie.

In the case of other writers sometimes I think it is just them tapping into truth. To them they are just writing a story, but I think authors and other artists can 'tap into the ocean' of knowing without being aware of what they are doing.

I think its possible they make movies about certain things so they can downplay it if the truth ever leaked. Kinda like a preemptive discredit

Also I see movies like ones about the Kennedy assassination and I think they make it so confusing so we have no clue. By adding multi twists and making up extra scenarios. All to confuse and distort to the point where no examination is possible.

they live is on the control of society, just take the aliens out and replace with illuminati and you have this society. control factor is based on mind control technologies that they have, though copper lined hats do not protect you from anything(this is just hollywood), but they have all those mind control technologies. watch control factor and go back and remember LA riots from early 90's, if your old enough.

two excellent films based on our real world, they live is well known on this board, and control factor is probably not well known. you can goto alex jones website for a trailer for they live, though you will probably find trailers for most films on the web now.

Remember the movie Swordfish. There are a lot of similarities between that movie and whats going on in the world right now. The War on Terror .

Interesting that you say this, I was watching one of the X-Files with the commentary on and Chris Carter was asked by two CIA agents if they could watch some of the filming. He said they would never know how close the X-Files was to the truth.

Film is the best way of conditioning the masses for the future. I first began to suspect something like this when I first saw David Cronenberg's "Videodrome" back in the '80's.

This film had a cathartic effect on me, and even when I watch it these days, I see much of what Cronenberg had created come to fruition years later.

Brian O'Blivion: The battle for the mind of North America will be fought in the video arena: the Videodrome. The television screen is the retina of the mind's eye. Therefore, the television screen is part of the physical structure of the brain. Therefore, whatever appears on the television screen emerges as raw experience for those who watch it. Therefore, television is reality, and reality is less than television.

Harlan: North America's getting soft, *patron*, and the rest of the world is getting tough. Very, very tough. We're entering savage new times, and we're giong to have to be pure and direct and strong, if we're going to survive them. Now, you and this cesspool you call a television station and your people who wallow around in it, your viewers who watch you do it, they're rotting us away from the inside. We intend to stop that rot.

Max Renn: Do you know a show called 'Videodrome'?
Masha: Video what?
Max Renn: Videodrome. Like video circus, video arena. Do you know it?
Masha: No.
Max Renn: It's just torture and murder. No plot, no characters. Very, very realistic. I think it's what's next.
Masha: Then God help us.

I find much of Cronenberg's work a clarion call for the coming age.

But there are many engaged in making manifest the hidden.

A book that may interest you:
Hoodwinked: Watching Movies With Eyes Wide Open

What do they want you to believe after you’ve spent two hours in the dark watching a movie?

This is the premise of each of the movie reviews in Hoodwinked: Watching Movies With Eyes Wide Open by Uri Dowbenko, one of America’s foremost alternative media analysts.

From The Matrix to Wag the Dog, Dowbenko deconstructs the movies and explains the hidden meanings of Hollywood’s greatest hits.

Sex. Death. Violence. Conspiracy. The real agenda of the movies is explained in Hoodwinked, a challenging new collection of movie reviews.

My first post(as a member)

I already posted this under the anonymous post but so that it follows the thread i'll post again.

From what i recall, wasn't Close Encounters of the 3rd based on what people reported seeing in washington in the 1950's. Especially the shot when the UFO's pass some kind of road check point.

Recently one thing caught my eye, and that was the nuke going off on US soil in the show 24(on fox no less). Just kind of made me wonder if they were preparing us for something.

This is why it's in the movies:

People thing it's fun to watch.

Nothing else. It sells. They make movies about it.

I woudl almost agree but there weren't any movies about an attack on Pearl Harbor before the actual attack. But then again maybe Hollywood is run by crazed govt. control folks who do nothing but prey on the minds of the innocent. You never know right?

Steven Spielberg has filmed ALOT of alien movies. Close Encounters of III kind; ET; Taken (really a mini-series) and War of the Worlds. Not the really scary kinds (like Alien) except for War of the Worlds, which I suppose could happen. I heard that he was supposed to kind of "prep" the public with Close Encounters & ET. And I suppose something like Taken could happen (family lines I mean). Seems kinda weird.

I think the movie, "ALIEN," by Ridley Scott was a true story. One day we will be mining ore in another system with cryogenic suspension chambers and navigators named Lambert. The government is just getting us prepped so we will be ready for full dislosure. Chestbursters are real.
