'Taiwan' Would Soon Replace 'China' On The Island's Stamps

Well I remember that I red somewhere that the US wouldn't defend Taiwan if Taiwan was to declare their independance, they would only defend Taiwan if China would attack without any reason.

No, bush said that we dont recognize taiwan as a independent nation. But if and when china decides to use military force over tiawan the US will intervene, as will japan and australia who all have signed pacts with taiwan. We're not giving the chinese the right to attack with a reason let alone without one. Safe to say we have taiwans back no matter what.
