I was just watching Hannity and Colmes, they had a segement on global warming. THe graphic in the corner is 'warming hyseria'. One woman stated that there is resounding scientific consensus that global warming is man made, such that its practically not even debatable at this point.

Then Hannity reads off his script and starts talking about Timothy Ball, and how he's the 'first Canadian PhD climatologist, has an extensive history in climatology research, taught climatology courses at the University of Winnipeg, and is being 'ignored' because he can show that the warming isn't man made'.

Practically every one of those statements is flat out false. Hannity even jabbed at the woman saying 'what, are you saying that these men are lying'. THe answer is YES, they are Liars. She hadn't ever even heard of Ball, so she couldnt' comment on him.

Ball didn't teach climatology. He taught Geography. He does NO research in climatology. He does NOT have a phd in Climatology, he has a Phd in Geography. There have been Canadians previous to Ball that were Phds in Climatology.

But I guess that that doesn't matter, because the facts are irrelvant, Fox reports, you decide. After all, why should Hannity be bothered to have his fact checkers and researchers be accurate?, its not a news show, right, its just an opinion show, Hannity isn't a Journalist, right, he's a person who tells peopel his opinions for money.

That's for sure. Hannity is the biggest sold out mouth piece on cable news. It is beyond me how anybody can take him seriously. He is a true snake oil salesman. Back in the day, he would have been tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail.

some of us may sorta laugh at the info, but remember how many more see it and stop there..that it is ALL they know and hear............that is what is scary

FOX has really degenerated relatively recently. Its allways been a sort of attempt to put out right wing bias to balance out the left wing bias, but recently its gone down the toilet.

Those nitwits on that 'Fox n Friends' morning show are bad enough, but I think that I recall them having cited WorldNetDaily in one of their broadcasts. And I also recall Oreilly having someone from WND on his site, and he was talking to him like the WND isn't just a bunch of lies and made up crap.

This issue with Hannity being a dolt and not having any research done, but still pontificating on a subject he clearly knows NOTHING about, is just an illustration of the whole problem.

Recall Limbaugh saying that Michael J Fox was 'faking it' because he was 'jumping around so much'. I mean, the guy doesn't even know what Parkinson's disease is and looks like, but he still offers his opinions on it as if he had a clue. As if his understanding of stem cell research is going to be any better. And this is a guy that was addicted to illegally obtained narcotics and who was even caught comming out of a third world country with a notorious problem with boy prostitutes and a fist full of viagra.
No different really than Oreilly, feigning moral superiority, but meanwhile he's telling interns to shove toys up their butts over the phone.

The media in general is more interested in the story then the facts and in some cases what ever biases they bring to the table. In this its a shame that some half wit of a TV presenter didn't do his homework because IMO a valid case can be made that people arent responsible for climate change.

While I take anything the media reports with a grain of salt if Im after world news I will stick with the BBC.
