Rant against bad maths with Yellowstone

This is a very simple rant, and some may say pointless, and they are perhaps right, but I am fed up with this.

Loads of places people say that Yellowstone is overdue for eruption, but it isn't.
looking at the numbers, 2.1 million years ago, 1.3 million years ago, and 640,000 years ago gives an average of every 0.73 million years for large eruption. Of course a sample size of two isn't very good (understatement), but a large number of people seem to get that a) we are overdue, and b)that as such we should be having an eruption tomorrow.

Now I know people can point out that I look at and post about Yellowstone quite often, but it is partly because it is interesting, and also because the possibility of such an event is fascinating.
