Topic started on 6-2-2007 @ 01:25 PM by Subcomandante

It's just came on Channel 4 news, one of the farmers involved in the 1000 turkey bird flu breakout down south has been taken into hospital with mild respitory problems. This has NOT been clarified as H5N1, but such is the believe...

I'll keep an eye out for when it hits the net

just seen the exact same thing, i never thought anything like this would happen given how much precautions they have taken.

It may well just be a *normal* illness, lets hope so anyway.

asala over in the thread on the turkeys here www.abovetopsecret.com... posted a link about a vet who was undergoing testing. And I have posted the link here again for you

news.sky.com...

A vet who attended the latest bird flu outbreak is being monitored in hospital, according to reports. The Ministry of Agriclture vet is undergoing "preliminary and precautionary" tests including blood tests in a Nottingham hospital.

This could of course be the same man and Sky jumped the gun on their report (but who would ever believe they'd do that? ) Lets hope he/they are okay though.
