I hope this is in the correct area since it is directly related to aircraft!
I am trying to compile a list of great aircraft books that are worth reading and have very good and reliable real info. They can be fact or fiction but must absolutely be based on real aircraft and not some bizarre future wannabe plane that will or never has exist(ed).

Thanks for the help, Mondo

P.S. I have read a great one but cannot remember the name. It involves the training of F18 pilots with the call signs Road, Burner, Bacon, etc...

Two of the very best books I have read are; 'Spitfire - The Biography' by Jonathan Glancy, so much more than 'just another Spitfire book'. And 'Enemy Coast Ahead' by Guy Gibson .He was the squadron leader of the famous 'Dambusters' and this book was published after his death on active service, ironically it begins with Gibson noting how fortunate he has been to survive the war, it was not yet over and he was killed in April 1945, but an excellent book all the same.
