Two of the very best books I have read are; 'Spitfire - The Biography' by Jonathan Glancy, so much more than 'just another Spitfire book'. And
'Enemy Coast Ahead' by Guy Gibson .He was the squadron leader of the famous 'Dambusters' and this book was published after his death on active
service, ironically it begins with Gibson noting how fortunate he has been to survive the war, it was not yet over and he was killed in April 1945,
but an excellent book all the same.
