Yes there are JSG agents within Iraqi insurgency and possibly also within the so-called "Al-Qaeda in Iraq". So how does this actually work? As the article says, since war broke out in Iraq in 2003, they have been responsible for running dozens of Iraqi double agents. So we have probably more dozens of double-agents running around Iraq, pretending to be Al-Qaeda or Iraqi Insurgency. But as we have seen in Northen Ireland, they ofcourse had to kill people in order to protect their "cover". Yes they have provided intelligence that saved hundreds of lives - but the costs were in THOUSANDS of lives.

The "double-agents" as you call them are not actually there to save lives as the government would want you to believe, either in Iraq or in Northern Ireland, or Iran or Afganistan, they are there mostly to stir the proverbial, so that it causes more and more violence, and then the Government can claim they need to step up their military/security operations to solve the problem that they are creating, thus those in power make more money from creaming off from the extra budgets spent to address the problems. Particularly in Iraq. You would be very naive to believe it is to do any kind of good. Problem-Reaction-Solution, just like 9/11. Create a problem, or in Iraqs case create the problem and make it as bad as possible, a great excuse not to pull out the troops. We her the same nonsense the whole time about Iraq, the governments telling us that they can't bring the troops home because of the violence there, the violence that they are funding, so it gives them more time to keep their troops their to control Iraq. In Iraq's case (and Afganistan to an extent) it seems it is spiralling out of their control, but those in power profit either way as more money will be thrown at the problem.

You have no idea how the system works. We are only giving $120 billion to Iraq for rebuilding thats set in stone. We are trying to fix the problem not make it worse. The reason the troops cant leave is cause if we do then the terrorist will come here.

To the point. Do terrorist need training I mean you get a bomb walk into a school full of kids and push the button or stand in a crowd of civilians and wait for soliders to walk by and then shoot out of the crowd that way even if you get killed you make the soliders look bad for shooting at non combatants.

You are a perfect example of somebaody who is totally brainwashed by the media. I laughed at the nonsense you wrote. Do you really believe that the troops are in Iraq because "terrorists" are there fighting the US troops, and as soon as US troops return to USA these people you call "terrorists"will follow them!!!!! It seems that is what you are saying, do you realise how ridiculous that suggestion is. And what was the rest of that you wrote, i can't even try to make sense of your logic there. You obviously have no idea how things work.
The first thing the US forces did in Iraq was secure Oilfields, that should be a clue. And what do you mean by terrorists anyhow? You don't belive Iraq had anything to do with 9/11 do you????????? In what way are Iraqi people a terrorist threat to USA? I don't expect any kind of sensible answer, but your reply should be good for a laugh.

This is exactly the point Golddragnet - until the US/UK broker the deal or find the person who says 'Yes' to take over we'll be in there. Iraq was invaded because they had something the other lot wanted. Not for ideology, human rights, WMD or terrorism but because money could be made and trade improved under a more 'flexible' regime. That the leaders concerned both consider god their judge tells us they have no interest in the opinions of us or the iraqi people themselves.

The anti-american army stuff is part of it. Ensuring that the Iraqis know what they're up against - it feeds the flame and becomes self-prophecising - the Iraqis fear the army and the army feels lawless/unsupported.

After the US invasion, Israel was training Kurdish Rebels along the Turkish Border in Iraq just a year or so before the Turkish Incursions began in earnest. Always a good sign for stability in the area.
