I admit, most of what I know about this comes from the Indiana Jones IV - the Fate of Atlantis game, lol, so I'd like to know what you people think about this substance

orichalcum - copper ore / brass.

Everything else I found pretty much said it was a brass alloy.

Copper is one of the metals that make up brass. Maybe copper and something else made up Orichalcum, making it "brass-like", but not brass.
