I should point out that this anti spam law is BS. It trumps the state laws, which often have harsher pentalities and provides several loopholes. For
instance, the law does not address spaming occuring outside of the country. This is how most spam originates. People in the US hire those outside to
spam for them.
Additionally there is some weak language in there: Spammers can only spam those people that have a "relationship" with them. There is no definition
of relationship. So, if you buy something from someone, you have a relationship. You can extend this further by saying a retailers friends are your
friends ... and you get spammed by them.
