Here is an interesting story about Nasa's plans for the moon. Seems a bit outrageous to me. They are saying tours of duty on these moon bases will be about 6 months at a time by 2025. What do you think?

Seems like a damn good idea to me. Permanent habitation off-world is the direction that we need to be heading.

Oh, and John Lear is full of shiit (obviously).

Sounds good, but that artist rendition of the base doesn't look very protective.


Won't they be encounter a lot of radiation, 6 months at a time?

This is an amazing idea!! Imagine how much research could get done up there. I mean as far as astronomy it would be like having a hubble telescope that you could just sit under and look up instead of sending commands up to a satelite. Also lower gravity could lead to some intereting research, as well as maybe finding new compounds or elements up there. Who knows, definately a step in the right direction!
