Topic started on 1-2-2007 @ 06:18 AM by andy1033

breaking news supposedly, al gore is up for the nobel peace prize for his work, in bringing, gw to the world stage.

newsinfo.inquirer.net...

are they just trying to draw more attention to gw, or do you think he deserves it for his lectures and work on this subject, of what people call global warming.

Meaningless.

Anyone can be nominated for a Nobel Prize by anyone on a long list of eligible nominators -- including any professor of social sciences at any university.

A California death row inmate -- convicted of multiple gang murders, was nominated too.

I wonder if he preferred the Noble Prize or the Presidency?

I think Al Gore is a great guy and his work on GW is of great importance. There are alot of scientific and medical breakthroughs every year and those should be weighed heavily also. I could care less about the nobel, I want him in office. How refreshing would it be to have a president that can carry on a intelligent conversation with people. I also think he could do alot to restore th U.S. standing with the rest of the world.
