Hello all,

Over here it appears that the US Presidential elections depend more on who's got more of a campaign budget and who's the bigger celebrity. I've seen the speaches by the electoral hopefulls Obama and Clinton broadcast on CNN, ABC, and their own personal websites. Their speaches seem more motivational and energetic than Policy explaining and debate invoking.

Are everyday American citizens really swayed more by charisma, film star like personality's and massive campaign budgets than Policy's and Political values?

In essence over here we see the Election campaigns look more like the Coke vs. Pepsi advertising battles rather than Political ones.

Thanks

Well that's certainly a part of it, especially this far out. Right now, it's mainly just a name/face recognition game. Candidates probably won't get too serious about their policy stance until we're much closer to the actual election.

jimmpy what you're seeing is the media hype machine, the media in this country is far left and will do anything to get a democrat into office. can anyone say CNN 50 days out of a presidential election? enough said.

jimmy americans are already worn out from hillary and obama because of exactly that, they never highlight their policies and when they do give people something to bite it's a complete disgrace almost to the point you question their intellect. they master ducking and dodging especially hillary. 'lets chat', ' i bake cookies', 'i like to clean my closet' I almost blew chunks all over my carpet when I heard this crap.

that woman is the epitomy of fake, dont pay any attention to her she is a media whore. she will also get grilled in debate by people in her own party, mind you she will lie to gain power. she has not delivered on her promises she made to the people of NY and they are disgusted with her. look at the taxes in NY, they are INSANE. universal health care? she is a socialist and she has no good policies.
