Just an update to say its now being reported that satellite images of Iran show a mock up of the Iraq Government compound that was attacked.

Karbala mockup in Iran

In the June 4 edition of Aviation Week and Space Technology, the magazine reported that Iran build a mockup of the Karbala Provincial Joint Coordination Center inside its borders, which was used to train the attackers. The "training center" was discovered by a U.S. spy satellite surveying Iran.

"U.S. reconnaissance spacecraft have spotted a training center in Iran that duplicates the layout of the governor's compound in Karbala, Iraq, that was attacked in January by a specialized unit that killed American and Iraqi soldiers," Michael Mecham reported in the In Orbit section of the magazine. "The U.S. believes the discovery indicates Iran was heavily involved in the attack, which relied on a fake motorcade to gain entrance to the compound.

i havent read the entire topic so my appoligies if this has been brought up

is this a joke or something?
Shrine is the holiest site to SHI which Iran is the largest population of
Now why would they want to blow up their own HOLY Shrine?
its like getting a pissed off cathlic to blow up the popes home.

The US and Co can claim all it wants and its intel well everyone knows how well they can fabricate that.

it makes more sense for US ops or Sunni insurgents

That is patently absurd. Karbala is one of the most holy sites in Shiia Islam. There is no way in hell Iran would back an attack on it. Sounds like more drumbeats for another war to me. Odds are Al Qeada in Iraq was behind it pure and simpe. Iran may not want the United States on their doorstep but an unstable Iraq wrapped up in a civil war is against the best interests of all the nations in the region.

Remember it wasn't the city/shrines in Karbala that were attacked. It was just a joint US/Iraqi command post, right?
