Thank you for giving me promotion inside my own Church. And thank you for showing I stand up for freedom. If the Church would like to talk to me, they can create an account at ATS and send me a U2U-- feedback would actually be appreciated

Thanks Tiloeke for helping me!

I highly doubt that they would talk to you through ATS. If you were a true member of CS you wouldn't be taking part in this debate, which you've previously declared is bunk and that you would no longer participate in.

Well here's a great big round of applause for IamnomanasIamallman
showing us all how a scientology member behaves. What a shining example of double-talk and batty nonsense. Mr. Ambassador you are spoiling us!

I would also like to thank IamnomanasIamallman for reminding me why I took my sebatacle from ATS. Those who have an opinion are welcomed, however you sir have contradicted your own argument. You proclaim that no one else will open their eyes to the other side of the debate and then all you have done is cite sources from the Pro-CS side of the argument. I however unlike the others, cited a CS authenticated document proving the anti-CS side and you blatantly ignored such evidence.

For future reference, avoiding the evidence is an admittance of no support to an argument. If you are truly a CS member, you should at least have weighed the decision against others and this would provide secular evidence as to why your belief is true, this is after all a debate, no a profession of faith.

I have no idea, I still am unsure about my warning. Perhaps it was because I was responding to someone saying that because I am not as old as him that I do not hold any point of logical reference on a subject....

But as to iamslalsa or whatever his name is...I dunno might want to ask the Admin.

Because he was a useless, harassing user who seemed to be about 15 years old. But that's just my humble opinion. Probably the Mods had a much better reason. No big loss.

Hey, have you guys heard of Discordianism?

en.wikipedia.org...

The foundational document of Discordianism is the Principia Discordia, fourth edition, written by Malaclypse The Younger (most likely an alias of Greg Hill). This book contains many references to an earlier source, The Honest Book of Truth (HBT). From the quotations, the HBT seems to be arranged like the Bible, consisting of verses grouped into chapters grouped into books grouped into the HBT itself. The Principia includes (on page 00041) a large portion of (or possibly all of) a chapter of "The Book of Explanations" which recounts how the HBT was revealed to Lord Omar Khayyam Ravenhurst (believed by many to be Kerry Thornley). It may be worth noting that the tale of the discovery of the HBT contains many similarities to the tale of the discovery of the Book of Mormon, and that Thornley had been a Mormon. It also includes (on page 00030) part of the next chapter, telling how the HBT was taken by a garbage collector, who refused to return it.

...Anyway, recently Kerry Thornton's book "The Dreadlock Recollections" was made available for free in .PDF format. This book is very interesting for a lot of reasons. In it, Kerry Thornton recollects precise conversations he had in 1963 with a character he calls "Brother-in-law" or "Gary Kirstein". It is Mr. Thornton's opinion that this person he remembers, is E Howard Hunt Jr. of the Watergate conspiracy and the overthrow of Jacobo Arbenz, the elected president of Guatemala.

But what's really interesting and relevant to this thread, is this snippet from the book, which you can find at the link below:

www.ovo1...##.###/zines/ovo017.html

"Kerry, there are some people called Scientologists who want to create a society based on human sacrifice. Did you realize that?"
"Slim has mentioned them. That's L. Ron Hubbard's new religion, isn't it? But he didn't say they were into human sacrifice."
"Well, they are. And it would be a good idea for you to keep that in mind. You might be in a position to keep them from taking over someday."

Anyway, I thought this was interesting and I hope any Scienos will not think I am dissing Elron with this. Just thought it might provide good reading. The book is very interesting and although this quote seems a bit out of context, those who read this book will find that the character of "brother-in-Law" knows a lot about a lot of things. Was Mr. Thornton lying? I don't think so.

I have been reading up on Scientolgy and I have to say, that I have been extremely tempted to pay a visit to the new HQ that was opened in London last year.

There is something about them that I find extremely interesting.

Religious hate speech is illegal.

To understad the strong fear pouring out of this thread, this will be valuable: www.scientologyhandbook.org...

In my country Belgium the church of scientology is considered a sect and is outlawed. There goes your "religion" hate argument, Scientology is not a religion, it are the deluded and drugged up writings of a SCIENCE FICTION writer who saw big $ in this.

Oh and BTW.... HAIL XENU !

To be fair, they do make a good point about drugs, especially antidepressants. I can recall numerous cases that have resulted in someone being effected so badly by antidepressants (such as prozac) that they have either killed someone or themselves. I use to take prozac and its true that it does effect your mind so much that you cannot control your mood.

bad stuff

Not really.

Lets see off the top of my head we have Pedophile priests, a report that states that 85% of U.S. dioceses report embezzlements. In 2000's mass of pardon the pope asked for forgiveness for the sins the catholic church like fin against the people of Israel (not speaking up against the Nazis), for sins committed against the rights of people of other cultures and religions (murder, torture, forced conversion, etc..) for sins against the dignity of women(Misogyny of all sorts) and for sins against the unity of the human race. And this is just the Catholics.

This is all verified, now contrast with the secondhand info, conjecture, and stuff from disgruntled former members. You have to take those with a grain of salt.

I'm not sure what other religions transgressions have to do with Scientology? Just because some other organization behaves in a similar fashion doesn't make it okay for them to do the same. This thread is about scientology, if you want to start a thread about all the wrongs of Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism, or whatever you should start a different thread. Just my two cents...

Not that I am completely innocent in the argument we had.

there is no way that iamallman or whatever his name is was for real in this thread. He was acting 8 years old, that can't be a real, adult scientologist. Probably just a troll.

good thing you didn't give them your postal address then

also i must add, i am not a religious follower... but i do have beliefs. Scientology in unlike all other religions because of it only recently being created, in fact, something like Scientology that still has the creator alive is not real religion IMO. though the money, sex scandels and the works are in many other religions they are different because of the history they have. Christianity for instance is...i think around 1500+ years old, Judaism much older. Islam, Buddhism and the Church of England, not to mention the many other ones such as Mormonism, Jehovah's witness and all those lesser talked about religions have never come under the knife the way Scientology has. it has been scorn into history as a get rich religion, or cult as i would deem it, simply because of its recent development.
