Arnold pulling certain movies off shelves???

Ok so this is my first Skunk Works post... and rightly placed.

On my day off, I decided to go rent the movie "Conan the Barbarian" and to my suprise, no one carries it. I live in a big city, and not one movie store carries this title.

If you're a fan of movies, this is like a movie store not carrying "Ghostbusters".

Do you think it is possible Arnold has requested certain movies that can paint a potentially damaging portrait be silently pulled of shelves for PR?

Thoughts appreciated

Well, if he is, he's not doing a good job. That movie was on over the weekend on TCM or some related channel. At least on the line-up in DC.

" conan the barbarian " is hardly a cinematic masterpeice which store owners should feel compelled to stock

not stocking conan , is IMHO a sign of good taste

If he was going to be pulling his films I think he would have started with Last Action Hero or Junior.

Conan the Barbarian is one of Arnolds better movies. Like The Terminator (original) he doesn't talk much which helps a lot. Plus a way cool soundtrack from Basil Poloudoris. And some real swordplay.

Treat yourself to the DVD with the deleted scenes!

simply being arnolds " best movie " is hardly an REAL endorsment - IMHO

he should have pulled Twins also...

He has the money and certainly some 'power' - but he can't beat the 'Net (no matter how impressively he swings his sword).

eBay and Amazon have thousands of copies of Conan available for mere pennies. I'm afraid Arnie is Conan for eternity and there's not a thing he can do about it...

By the way - my local Blockbuster has plenty of copies available - just checked...

You can get his movies on ebay or amazon really cheap.

Why? Twins is a decent movie. Any movie with Arnold is usually a classic due to hilarious one-liners throughout the movies. Come on man, it's not just the Brazilian Skunk talking.

Come on man, that's from Predator. And THAT is his best film after the Terminator Series.

Ok, Here's a Twist?

Of all the movies Arnie COULD pull from the shelves would be the 'DEMOLITION MAN'.

That's the one with Sly Stalone & Wesley Snipes. (Futuristic -Sci-Fi)

Do you all remember the part when Wesley was un-frozen and the first couple of words out of his mouth was something to the affect of: " Yeah, yeah, and I suppose that Arnold Swartzenneger is the President"?

Demolition man came out BEFORE Arnie was into politics.

I know his wife Maria has an affiliation with the Kennedy family, but as far as I knew Arnie wasn't into politics until AFTER demolition man.

Now he's a Govenor. Hmmm.

Pretty prolific eh?
